Pros: It's sheer size on the road. An agile, menacing, superior looking vehicle.
Cons: Not being able to run with just the fog lights on.
Advice: Pay the money and enjoy the ride.My QX56 has roughly 11000 miles on it and it is a wonder to drive. I love it. With 4 children size is definitely a plus. Rear fold down seats are very easy to use, braking, cornering, and pick-up are wonderous. Highway driving is like travelling in a Gulfwing Jet. To date it is a wonderous car for the money.
Pros: The automatic tailgate
Cons: The lousy gas mileage
Advice: Be aware this is a gas guzzler !!!A few gripes that I have this vehicle 1)The switches for the pedal adjustments and power lift gate keep falling into the dash when pushed. 2) The analog clock placed so low near the gear shift lever it is hard read. 3)The front door glass for both passenger and driver shudders and vibrates terribly over any size bumps when partially opened. 4)Lousy gas mileage.
Pros: Platform - handles like it's on rails; Design - like nothing else out there.
Cons: Rear cupholders are small
Advice: Evaluate what attributes you are looking for in your next car - the FX is more sportier than anything else.Is this really a SUV? It handles like a sports car. I have to admit, when the conditions are right, I'm a spirited driver. All my previous vehicles were sports cars not to mention I track a sport bike. The next car for me was a family car since we have 2 dogs. I wasn't ready to jump on the SUV bandwagon since typical SUVs don't fit my lifestyle at the moment. I rarely go to the snow so I don't all the hardcore 4x4 attributes in my car. The FX is a good cross between a sports car and SUV; however, I think it's more sport being the platform built on. Why I decided on the FX: -I do 99.9% of my driving on asphalt (not off-road or in the snow). -AWD safety especially in wet winters -I'm a spirited driver; when the conditions are SAFE, I enjoy the quick accelertion, crisp handling, amazing sound from the 4.5 liter V8. -Utility: a 315hp sports car that carries everything we buy from Home Depot, Safeway, and Target! -Value: has all the options we want at same price as Lexus
Cons: poor quality
Advice: don'tHave been most disappointed with my '04 QX56. Too many problems to mention. 3rd row seating has no headroom. traded a nicely equipped Suburban for the QX56. What a mistake, should have stuck with Suburban.
Pros: AWD system.
Cons: A little noisy.
Advice: Just go for it.This is a real SUV(SPORT Utility Vehicle). It is very fun to drive (Like a sport car) and it has Off-road capabilities. It is just Perfect.....
Pros: The horsepower 280 horses, 0-60mph in 7 secs, or less and weighs in at 4300lbs.
Cons: a bit of harsh ride. but thats due to the sports suspension.
Advice: Buy it do not think about it!This is one unbelievable vehicle. They say it stars off at 37,000$ but really nicely equipped and i suggest going for the sports package with the suspension and 20inch rims for 2k more, the end result is about 45,000$. A bit of a harsh ride, but it drives, corners, accelerates and stops like a full sedan/coupe, with the luxuries of an mid-size SUV.
Pros: Styling inside out
Cons: Cant think of one
Advice: Buy it unless you want the Lexus Hybrid SUVThis has been the best vehicle I've owned. It's not the best financial decision I've made, because I did dump $50,000+ on it. It's fun to drive, it's like sports car, it's high quality, real quiet interior, and so much praise for Infiniti! I've always thought that Infiniti's were imitation luxury cars, but no, they really aren't. My daughter said a few years ago about her G35 or whatever and I drove it and it was really nice, and I looked into the Infinitis since then. The styling is very unique, in a good way. It stand out from the blandness. Also I like the navigation system, which has a bird's eye view. I do not regret buying this car, and if you are lookin for a luxury suv, look into the Infiniti. I wish they made a hybrid for this like the Lexus LX400H because the gas mileage is kind of bad-14.5mpg.
