Cons: No lights on steering wheel controls
Advice: Hope the 2005's are betterI bought this vehicle about 10 months ago, and now have 22000 miles on it. Yes, we drive a lot. I love to dirve this thing on the highway...it is a dream. In town and on rough roads though it is pretty stiff. My biggest complaint is with the build quality, and the numerous problems I have had with it. It has been in the shop for repairs at least 6 or 8 times, and will have to go back again soon. They have replaced brakes, worked on squeaks and rattles 4 times, added extra bracket on DVD player to keep it from shaking, replace satellite reciever, and now I have a air bag light that won't go off. When will it end?
Pros: Back up monitor
Cons: The gas mileage is only 12-13 average
Advice: Check for rattles and creakes before you buy that model. The vehicle is very classy looking and rides great. I am very impressed with the technology and love the Nav and Smart vision features. I have the fully loaded all options model and loved it since day 1. The only negative I have is the few rattles and creakes that existed upon purchase. The dealer has been great and is doing everything to fix the issues.
Pros: 315 HP Endurance engine, comfortable heated seats, rear-view camera, Nav., fold flat seats
Cons: No power lift 3rd row like in the Navigator, and temp. control knobs
Advice: Take a test drive and you will fall in love with itI am very impressed with the speed and maneuverability of this big SUV. According to Motortrend and other publications, this vehicle can move from 0-60MPH in 7.2 seconds and I believe it. On the highway, it rides very smooth and it is quiet, but you do feel a slight jolt on certain rough roads. Brakes feel strong, so far, and the DVD navigation works like a charm. Also, that rear-view camera is a must for a vehicle of this size. I can't wait until the spring, so I can use this vehicle to trailor my boat. With 8900lbs of towing power and auto-level rear suspension, it should be easy and problem-free. Overall, for the money, it is the best luxury SUV at this time.
Pros: Drive, interior space (I am 6'5') and dealer will pick up/return for service!
Cons: It can be a little sloppy and loose feeling when you drive fast over uneven surfaces with resultant rattles and shakes etc Also HATE the heat/A/C controls they suck but u get used to them
Advice: love it and don't worry about the price of gasJust a great vehicle to drive, has better road feel and car handling abilities than any of the big rigs I have rented and tested - and I have done them all usually for a week at least via rentals in WY, UT and NYC, most comparable would be the Toyota Sequoia, QX way out performs GM or Ford comp's albeit that we still love our Tahoe!
