Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: its distinguish exterior look
Cons: rattling noise within car
Advice: Definite a good contender but ride quality is your number 1, than consider something elseI personally own the car and love it for it big size. The ride qualify is not as smooth for a luxury suv because of its hard suspension but it handles well. The only complain I have with the car is the rattling noise inside the car from the 3rd row handles to open and close.
Pros: Comfortable and quiet still at 100,000
Cons: The temperature control buttons
Advice: Buy itI have just reached 100,000 miles on my Qx56, and other than the brake issue that resolved early, this has been the most reliable and most comfortable vehicle I've ever owned. Other than normal oil changes etc. I have not had one problem. I live in Minn. and this will go through the worst weather with ease.
Cons: poor quality
Advice: don'tHave been most disappointed with my '04 QX56. Too many problems to mention. 3rd row seating has no headroom. traded a nicely equipped Suburban for the QX56. What a mistake, should have stuck with Suburban.
Pros: automatic rear hatch opener
Cons: seat heaters that don't warm up, and all the rattles
Advice: Looks are decieving, and so is Infiniti's warranty, customer service claims. Its bad news.I have owned this vehicle since October 2004. I have only been able to put 500 miles on it, because I have been fighting with Infiniti to fix the rattles, leaks, broken seat, and non-functioning dvd since I recieved the car. They have now had it in their shop for over 4 weeks, leaving me with nothing!!!!!!!!It took 3 months to get them to even address that. This is my first and last experience with Infiniti. How they continue to sell cars is what I'd love to know.
Advice: test driveTraded an Escalade for the '04 Infiniti QX56, and wish I hadn't! Love the visual, but have had the brake pads and/or rotors replaced 4 times within 3 months! Too many squeaks to mention, and tired of Infiniti's Customer Service Representatives! The Dealership has worked to correct problems, but I have been informed by Infiniti CSR that the corrected brake pads will not be in until later this month or possibly next month! I am tired of driving loaner cars, just need to make payments on them! Too nice of a SUV (QX56) to encounter such problems over and over again!
Cons: No lights on steering wheel controls
Advice: Hope the 2005's are betterI bought this vehicle about 10 months ago, and now have 22000 miles on it. Yes, we drive a lot. I love to dirve this thing on the highway...it is a dream. In town and on rough roads though it is pretty stiff. My biggest complaint is with the build quality, and the numerous problems I have had with it. It has been in the shop for repairs at least 6 or 8 times, and will have to go back again soon. They have replaced brakes, worked on squeaks and rattles 4 times, added extra bracket on DVD player to keep it from shaking, replace satellite reciever, and now I have a air bag light that won't go off. When will it end?
Pros: Back up monitor
Cons: The gas mileage is only 12-13 average
Advice: Check for rattles and creakes before you buy that model. The vehicle is very classy looking and rides great. I am very impressed with the technology and love the Nav and Smart vision features. I have the fully loaded all options model and loved it since day 1. The only negative I have is the few rattles and creakes that existed upon purchase. The dealer has been great and is doing everything to fix the issues.
