2008 Infiniti QX56 - (New) 4x2
Pros: Standard navigation system.
Cons: Gas mileage but that is to be expected in a vehicle this size.
Advice: Test drive the Escalade, The GL450 and test drive this last you will fall in love with the QXNissan/ Infiniti has always built solid vehicles and they always build vehicles that people want to buy. There is no exception here when it comes to the 2008 Infiniti QX. From the sweeping waterfall gril to the led tailligts, this vechilce resonates of quality and commitment from a company we have all grown to love. This truck is massive and very comfortable. The seats are really great, the truck is massive and quiet. I love the growl of the 8 cylinder when accelerating, it's loud but not loud in an annoying way. You just know that you have some power under the hood. And even though the Escalade has 400 bhp and the QX 320, the QX feels quicker and stronger. Surprisingly this truck handles smaller than it looks. This vehicle is drapped with quality and luxury inside and out. This is my first full sized SUV from Infiniti and it won't be my last ,if they keep building vehicles like this, I will always have them on my list. The one thing that I really love about the truck is the standard NAV system, it's really an awesome feature.
2004 Infiniti QX56 - 4x4
Pros: its distinguish exterior look
Cons: rattling noise within car
Advice: Definite a good contender but ride quality is your number 1, than consider something elseI personally own the car and love it for it big size. The ride qualify is not as smooth for a luxury suv because of its hard suspension but it handles well. The only complain I have with the car is the rattling noise inside the car from the 3rd row handles to open and close.
2005 Infiniti FX35 - 4x2
Pros: The look and the navigational system.. It looks like a sports car and handles like one.
Cons: The leather seats do not breathe.
Advice: Get all the options available if you are going to keep it for 3 or more years. I wish I had gotten the iPod connnectorI love my FX35. I have owned two. I was the first to purchased a 2003 in Las Vegas. The '05 is much better. Very sleek, fast and handles well. Always a head turner. However, the '05 is not as good on gas as the '03. Maximum city mileage is 15.7 miles with all the optimum factors in place. And the headlights are not as bright. but the '05, has fewer bugs. I do wish they would offer cooling seats just like they offer the heated seats. In the desert, the cool seats would make a differene. Small details like having all buttons lit would be nice and the all around camera should be a winner in the 2008. Personally, the smaller '08 does not appeal to me.
2002 Infiniti I35 - Base
Pros: REAR SUN SHADE- LOVE TO PLAY WITH IT!
Cons: CLOCK- REQUIRES TO MUCH TO READ IT WHILE DRIVING
Advice: GRAB IT...ITS ALOT OF BANG FOR THE BUCKI JUST BOUGHT A USED 2002 I35 LAST WEEK (7/20/07) AND IT WAS VERY WELL MAINTAINED BY THE ONE PREVIOUS OWNER. IT CAME WITH ALL THE SERVICE RECEIPTS. I TRADED IN A 2003 ACURA 3.2 TL WHICH HAD NO TAKE OFF POWER TO ME...THIS CAR IS LIKE A JET AND DOESNT HUNT FOR GEARS LIKE THE TL DOES...... THE INTERIOR IS LAYED OUT VERY NICE. THE CAR LOOKS LIKE IT HAD NEVER BEEN DRIVEN (OTHER THAN THE 80K ON IT...LOL) I HAVE WANTED THIS CAR FOR MANY YEARS BUT COULDNT AFFORD IT NEW... IT HAS HEATED STEERING WHEEL, HEATED SEATS FRONT AND REAR... REAR POWER SHADE, IM NOT SO CRAZY ABOUT THE CLASSIC CLOCK ..IT REQUIRES TO MUCH CONCENTRATION WHILE DRIVING, BUT IT MATCHES THE CLASSY INTERIOR.
2007 Infiniti M45 - Sport
Pros: love every thing as long as your driving during the day light hours
Cons: high beams are focused so high that they do not illuminate the road
Advice: beware of safety issueEvery thing that you have read about this car is true (its great), its hard to believe anyone being disappointed with the M45 Sport. However if you drive this car on the highway at night you need to know that the design if the headlights is faulty. The high beams are focused so high that they do not illuminate the road in front of the car at all. There is a single adjust for both high and low beam lights so if you take your car to the dealer they will misalign the low beam focus if you complain of the faulty high beams. I drive 70 miles at night on a desert highway to work daily, if you diver you M45 in town this will not be an issue, if safe night time driving is a concern to you beware!
2006 Infiniti G35 - (A5) Coupe
Advice: Avoid.I purchased a brand new g35 coupe in March of 2003. Let me tell you, this car has been nothing but a headache since I purchased it. First and foremost, the brake pads need to be replaced every 15000 miles (infiniti covers the first 36000 miles then expect to pay to replace the pads) and generate immense brake dust. In addition, the rotors also go bad after 36000 miles, and expect to pay for that as well. Secondly, if you opt for 19 inch rims and tires, expect to replace your tires every 12,000-15,000 miles (at a cost of $300 per tire). Thirdly, the driver door lock went bad under warranty, which the dealer replaced. 3 months later the passenger door lock went bad, the warranty expired on March 26, 2007 and the door lock went bad on April 12, 2007 and they refused to address it. So now I have to repair the lock at an expense of $440. Infiniti also recalled the car and replaced the fuel line. This is all after I have taken terrific care of this car. It has had an oil change every 3500 miles. All services and repairs have been done through Infiniti in a timely fashion, and this is how they repay their loyal customers. If you value your money and time, I highly recommend that you go to another brand of vehicle. Believe me, I will never buy another Infiniti again, and I would recommend that you avoid my mistakes.
2004 Infiniti QX56 - 4x2
Pros: Comfortable and quiet still at 100,000
Cons: The temperature control buttons
Advice: Buy itI have just reached 100,000 miles on my Qx56, and other than the brake issue that resolved early, this has been the most reliable and most comfortable vehicle I've ever owned. Other than normal oil changes etc. I have not had one problem. I live in Minn. and this will go through the worst weather with ease.
