Refined and sporty luxury crossover SUV
Pros: Around-view monitor
Cons: Road noiseAs the institutional reviews note, this car is powerful, sleek, refined, technologically competitive, and a reasonable price within its segment. But what sold me on this car, surprisingly, was the around-view monitor. It makes parking in any direction very easy, whether pulling forward, around a tight corner, backwards, or parallel. The simulated view displays a camera angle from ABOVE your vehicle, so you can see exactly where your tires line up with the painted lines or curb, and how close your bumpers are to obstacles. Even with that clear imagine, the car warns you if it thinks you're about to hit anything while parking. As for any problems, one important note is that you need to have your dealership apply the software patch in Service Campaign Bulletin ITB10-031 (from July 9, 2010) before the glitchy nav system and tenuous iPod/iPhone integration actually works properly. Regarding performance, this car is far too noisy on the highway at 60mph+ speeds, and you really feel the larger bumps and dips in California freeways at 65mph+ (and that's with the non-Sport Package model...don't even bother with the FX50S if you want an even remotely comfortable ride while driving.) Also, adjusting side mirrors is difficult because the buttons are completely out of reach when sitting back against your seat...D'oh! But overall this vehicle has really hit the mark. Now if only the FX50 had the interior stylings of the M56...! (NOTE: exterior color Malbec Black and an automatic liftgate are available on the 2011 model, but not on the 2010 or earlier.)
Our best vehicule ever for the money
Pros: the 11 speaker Bose system & GPS & Blue tooth
Cons: Nothing. We purchased the Journey 2 wheel drive. What a pleasent vehicule to drive. It is powerful, quiet, elegant. You get a lot of options for the money. Their service is also 5 star. We are very very happy with this car. We had a Honda CRV EX all bells and whistles. The car is very reliable but the ride is very bumpy and hard on gas.Between both cars we're talking night and day.
Pros: Appearance, NAV and interior
Cons: Gas mileage could be improvedThis is a great car. The base car is fairly equiped and with two additional packages you have a fully loaded car for a reasonable price. NAV and interior are best in class. With close to 300 hp, this car has zip!
Pros: quality...no mechanical problems at all.Very happy w/Infinity
Pros: Acceleration and drivability with ease
Cons: Great looking car, besides what i have describedAfter 72 years of driving all cars, I finally got the car that pleases me most, acceleration, braking, and power to do any driving where I need to go, besides it doesn't look like a bus. it is a G35 Sport Coupe
Germans are not the best
Pros: My nav. I could not even figure out how to use it in the Audi. With Infinite, it is purely intuitive and I can go anywhere without worrying I'll get lost.
Cons: I'd like a larger trunkI was the proud owner of Audis for over 10 years. Then in 2008, when I was ready to replace my sedan with another, prices went up and performance went down with the Audi. I shopped around test driving six different manufacturers. I had never even heard of an Infiniti until I read the high ratings in several magazines. To my amazement, the Infiniti exceeded my criteria, except for gas mileage. I get 19.2 mpg, using my cruise control especially on highways. I continue to be amazed by the consistency of performance, great handling, comfortable seats, great nav, terrific braking and cornering. I always get compliments from the guys at the parking garage on the car's looks. It's definitely a guy car. I love my G35Sx.
