I got a LEMON!!!
Pros: The overall style
Cons: You can't see the odometer in daylightI have had a rattle in my front passenger door for 5 years and they woun't fix it, there is a flaw in the braking system they refuse to recognize (sometimes at low speeds when applying the brake the brakes grind and the vehicle rolls another 5-10 feet!) Had to pay $300 at 18.000miles to have the brakes redone!
Perhaps a lemon
Pros: Roomy, rear window opens
Cons: unreliable, I won't trust it on long tripsAlways something wrong. Brakes constantly need new pads and/or rotors (the driver used to drive stick shift and rarely uses the brakes). Sensors often in need of replacement - check engine light is on often. All ignition coils had to be replaced;catalytic converter had to be replaced at 35,000 miles. Mileage on the poor side (although I have the 3.5L engine).
50 yrs driving; best car ever
Pros: Safety and comfort
Cons: Originally not crazy about the looks, but learned to likeSanta Fe is outstanding. I just wish I could afford a new one. This is my second in last 8 years; both purchased new and they are awesome .
one of my best cars ever
Pros: all wheel drive, sun and moon roof
Cons: too shine shift knob box cover,(highly chromed)it is an excellent vehicle good in snow. never got stuck in winter contions. milage could be better. It's a well built car
Advice: Check mileage before you buy and also steering. Too loose and hard to control in an emergency.I purchased a 2005 Santa Fe 4 wheel drive, new. I can not get any good mileage. 13 city, 19 freeway. Wish I had known that before I bought it.
Pros: 1st: warranty, 2nd: exterior styling, 3rd: price
Cons: 1st:I'm 6'1' and the head and leg room is tight, but my wife loves it and its her car. 2nd: mileage
Advice: think twice if you're over 6'1'. Otherwise go for it!!We purchased the 3.5L 4WD LX. I believe that is the top of the line model. We have had zero defects after one year and 9,000 miles. We have been totally pleased with this car. It seems solidly built and runs great. We just took it on a 1400 mile trip and averaged 21.8 mpg(but it is a 4wd, so the fwd might do better)
