2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
Pros: roominessI've had my Santa Fe for 6 years and have had no major problems with it. Just done regular servicing. It is a comfortable highway and city car in the front seat and back. Lots of room to haul stuff. Great a/c for the summer. I'd buy another one for sure!

2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
Pros: Comfort, this suv is made very well
Cons: Miles per gallonLove everything about the car but the gas consumption. My Sante Fe gets 11 miles to the gallon. It's a killer.

2004 Hyundai Santa Fe - Base (M5) FWD
Pros: lumbar support
Cons: body styling can sometimes play tricks on your eyes
Advice: Go for it!I like the way this vehicle feels like a car but has the height of a smaller truck.
2004 Hyundai Santa Fe - GLS (A4) AWD
Advice: choose a diff. modelI have had my santa fe for 2 yrs now and am starting to experience several manufacturing issue's. The most disconcerning part is that on my $300/wk check, I had to spend $150 to just fix the driver windshield wiper that stopped working on it's own. That part along with the others that need to be fixed, I have to save for to fix is not covered by the 100,000 mile warranty. Also we discovered that if I don't change out a $500 driving belt that my warranty will be voided. My husbands Chrysler that he's had for 6 yrs. is still in great condition and we've only had to change the tires. I traded my tibron for the santa fe, and I loved the car, however the wind shield wipper broke 3 times in the 2 yrs I had the car which I discovered from the machanic that this issue happends alot. Is Hyundai about quality ? Absolutley NOT!!!!
2004 Hyundai Santa Fe - GLS (A4) FWD
Cons: Would like better braking
Advice: Try it, you'll like it.Handles well, and gets very good gas mileage.
2004 Hyundai Santa Fe - GLS w/3.5L (A5) FWD
Pros: the dashboard styling
Cons: the stepover sill of the front door
Advice: think about the 2.7 vice the 3.5. The 3.5 is just too much engine.Problems the car has had since new - zero ... you just can't get any better than that! The only problem is the engine - it's too big. I like the styling - both inside and out. I just can't imagine a more perfect car for me.
2004 Hyundai Santa Fe - GLS w/3.5L (A5) AWD
Pros: Refinement of drivetrain.
Cons: Light colored cloth seats, wish they were darker.
Advice: Compare price, value, rebates, and financing rates before you buy any new SUV.This is our second Santa Fe. My wife is driving a 2003 Santa Fe (V6 AWD), which we love. When it was time for me to get a new car, I bought a 2005 Santa Fe (V6 AWD). These cars are a good value, and are covered by a great warantee. For the money, I think they are the most refined compact SUV out there. And with owner loyalty rebates, the value is even better. The GLS with the 3.5 V6 (200 HP) is only about $500 more than the 2.7 V6 (170), and you get the same highway mileage, and alot more thrust. The standard Monsoon stereo rocks for a factory installed stereo! The light gray cloth seats are the only shortcoming, they should be dark gray like the seats in the 2003 models.
