Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: its size - its very roomy, no crowded feeling!
Cons: how poorly it drove in snowy weatherThis was an amazing car that i had the pleasure of owning for 3 years. i was in a head on collision (traveling at about 30mph) on back roads on an icy morning with a very large chevy 4 door pickup - and let me tell you, it sure lived up to its safety standards!! not only is this a SAFE vehicle, but its also a very comfortable, reliable and attractive car! i HIGHLY recommend this to anyone!
Cons: TiresCompetent all the way around.
Another Hit by Hyundai
Pros: The Interior
Cons: Back Seat Head RoomHyundai has pulled another hit from the factory. The totally redesigned Elantra is an eye catching vehicle worthy of consideration over the Corolla, Cruze and Mazda3. The interior quality is top notch in the Limited model. I'm 6'1' and the driver seat is very comfortable and with my seat set, I can get into the back seat with no problems. The only concern is that if I'm sitting in the back, my head does hit the back roof line, but there is enough room for me to slouch into a comfortable position. And that is the only gripe I have about this car. I've had it for 2 weeks and have put 2,000 miles on it and I'm averaging 36mpg mostly highway miles. The ride is smooth enough, the engine has ample power and just quiet enough. I purchased this car fully loaded and the navigation is great and the sound system more than powerful enough. It has an easy iPod/iPhone interface as well as USB connection. There is even an power outlet next to the passenger so they can charge their gadgets as well. I've not seen the new 2012 Focus other than on-line and the same for the 2011 Civic, but from what I've seen the Elantra will hold it's own. It even has heated back seats. I'm very impressed by this car and I would tell everyone who needs a good looking car that gets great gas mileage to include the Elantra in their search.
Pros: The engine and transmission
Cons: The dark blue readouts are difficult to see in daylight.I just purchased the 2011 2.0T coupe with 6 speed manual transmission about a week and a half ago. It handles extremely well, whether around curves or up steep hills (especially in 3rd.) This vehicle is the most enjoyable one that I have ever owned in 50 years of driving. We are going up the coast to Cambria, CA this weekend to give it a real shakedown cruise on the freeway and Route 1.
I love this car!!
Pros: Comfortable ride and reliability.
Cons: After seven years the paint on the outside door handles peeled. This is my third Sonata and I love each one more than the last. My next car will be a Sonata, nothing else will do.
2011 Sonata - What a value!
Pros: Engine is outstanding, power with mpg in spades
Cons: Front seats need power adjustment and memory for driver.Does it all well. Handles very well, smooth riding and tons of room. It runs quiet and so quick you wouldn't think its a 4 cyl. Gas mileage is outstanding, almost like a hybrid on the highway. Wish the front seats were a little more comfortable (softer/wider), and included memory. The passenger front seat is too low, needs power there also. People in back love the heated rear seats. I'd buy again.
Pros: high gas mileage
Cons: nothingits good on gas and get me from a to b
