Many automakers now provide complimentary subscriptions to SiriusXM satellite radio along with a new-vehicle purchase, but Hyundai has found a way to take things to ye olde next level: Beginning this month, new Hyundai products will come with three free months of SiriusXM’s All Access package. As its name indicates, this setup delivers the full gamut of SiriusXM programming choices, including exclusive commercial-free music stations, premium talk channels from Oprah and Howard Stern, coverage of all MLB/NFL/NHL games and NASCAR races, 20 Spanish-language channels, and an extended lineup of news outlets.
But the real difference-maker here is that the new plan does more than increase what customers can access; it extends that access outside of the vehicle by including a SiriusXM Internet Radio subscription for the same three months. This allows listeners to enjoy to all that programming anywhere they have Internet connectivity—and do so on compatible Apple- and Android-based smartphones, tablets and other electronic devices.
“Hyundai’s offer of an enhanced SiriusXM subscription is a great benefit to new Hyundai owners, offering a variety of premium content as well as convenient access to SiriusXM Internet Radio,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, corporate and product planning, Hyundai Motor America.
