Great Value Car
Cons: Trunk latch; a head banger! This car has been great for my daily commute, about 75 minutes each way each day. Great milage - about 30mpgs - sun roof is great in spring & fall, and now has 150,000+ miles with no major problems. Will keep it as long as I can.
Cons: i should have never bought the extended warranty
Advice: americas worst warranty be carefullots of problems with tranny, water pump, and heads.
Pros: the standard options like electric locks and windows
Cons: the color the only one they had at Avis was white
Advice: go for it right price with great optionsthe car rides real smooth I am waiting to see how it will drive in the winter. So far the car in excellant and I would recommend it to anyone and I will buy another in the future if they keep up the good work
Pros: I didn't think I would say this about a car but I love EVERYTHING!
Cons: I didn't have one in my garage when they first came out!
Advice: If your looking for a car with everything from performance to dependability choose the ELANTRA!My test drive on the Hyundai Elantra proved it is the best new compact car on the market. It out performed the cheezy civic, the overpriced Corolla, and all the other compact cars. It has the most powerful engine in its class! I love it when I press the gas it responds with attitude! As a matter of fact it can compete with a Toyota Celica GT which has the same amount of Horsepower of the Elantra, and have the same top speed! I tell you, I don't regret buying the sexiest looking compact car on the road!
Pros: Flexibility of flat folding rear seats with hatchback
Cons: Because of the moonroof
Advice: Take the Group 2 option ( ABSMeasured by the price-benefit ratio, the Elantra GT is the best bargain in its class. Its fun to drive, very good road-handling with a sport-tuned suspension. The four-wheel disc brakes are excellent and leg room for rear passengers is more than suitable. With flat rear folding seats, this hatchback can carry a 30' electric stove and still has room for luggage. After a year and 14,000 miles later, not a single problem/repair or rattle. With leather seating surfaces and leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel, traction control and ABS, cruise control, remote keyless entry upgraded 6 speaker stereo CD player, alarm, moonroof, is that the definition of an economy car? I strongly recommend this car for its value with the best warranty in the market.
Pros: LOTS OF HEAD ROOM
Cons: STERO SOUND
Advice: IT GREAT IT DRIVES GREAT FEELS GOOD LOOKS GOODTHE MINTUE I DROVE IT HOME FOR THE OVER NIGHT TEST DRIVE I WAS HOOKED
Pros: Gas Mileage, Keyless Entry, Large Trunk, Overall Comfortable, Stereo SOUNDS GREAT, the warranty THATS FREE NOT EXTRA!, the side airbags, cruise control and the interior/exterior appearance.
Cons: NOTHING LOVE THE ENTIRE CAR INSIDE AND OUT!
Advice: Make sure the dealership is A GOOD ONE!This car handles WONDERFULLY in the RAIN, SLEET, SNOW, AND SUNSHINE. I have never been prouder to own a car. I have owned buicks, fords, chevys, a KIA and a 1993 Hyundai Excel, and a 1995 Hyundai Accent (that I wish we never traded in for the HORRIBLE 1999 KIA SPORTAGE) We traded that in after only 2 years. The car WAS AWFULL AND I had NOTHING BUT TROUBLE, that at that time was NOT covered by warranty). Because we loved our Hyundai's in the past my husband drove straight the Hyundai Dealership (Midland Hyundia)April 12, 2002, and we test drove the champaigne colored Elantra GLS. We fell in LOVE with it IMMEDIATELY! and drove off the lot that day! I commute to another state to work and was not nervous once driving home in the SNOW! We even had a blizzard, and the car handled TERRIFICLY and got me home SAFE in the height of the storm! I have been quite nervous in the past with other cars driving in the snow (including the 4x4 KIA). My Elantra's gas mileage is EXCELLENT even on the weekends when I do a lot of city driving. I only fill my gas tank once a week and I drive 250 miles a week just to go to work, then I put more miles on the car on the weekends, taking my 3 children around town, and shopping, etc. I love the get up and go the car has. Sometimes when your commuting you need that passing gear to kick in and boy it does! I also love the confidence I have in the cruise control. Driving home after a long day at work, I enjoy this feature very much. I have over 16,000 miles on my car to-date, April 24, 2003, and it runs BEAUTIFULLY. I have read that some have experienced lower gear or cold transmition problems - I have an automatic 4 cyl. transmition with a 2.0 engine and it has not failed me yet, no hesitations, no slipage, the car always goes into each gear without a problem. I can't recommend this car enough. When it's time is up I am DEFINATELY buying ANOTHER HYUNDIA - Elantra if they are still available!!
