    2002 Hyundai Accent - GS (M5) Hatchback

    Pros: 4-door, big trunk

Cons: I wish the rims/tires were larger

Advice: go easy on it and it will run for you

Plenty of power for all purposes, an I live in a very hilly region. Excellent mileage. The 13' wheels do not supply alot of traction, so brake early. Also the brakes overheat easily going down long (miles) hills. I just use the 'NO Overdrive' switch and allow the engine compression to slow me on long hills, and I don't have problems. Excellent turn radius, good road performance.

    2002 Hyundai Accent - GS (M5) Hatchback

Pros: light weight car w/ peppy engine even w/ only 100 or so horses

Cons: after 5 years the seat feals a little unsupportive

Advice: check maintence record and go for it.

I have 78,000 miles of dirt mountain road and highway combination driving and I love my accent hatchback. I am getting between 37-40mpg on the highway. I only wish I had gotten a sun-roof. For a comuter or a young driver this car is wonderfull.

    2002 Hyundai Accent - GS (M5) Hatchback

Pros: The size!! So easy to get a round in!!

    Cons: 1.5 L engine

Advice: It's great!!! I would buy another one in a heart beat!!

I bought my 2002 accent new , well it only had 900 kms on it. It was my first car , as being young and not having a lot of money the price was perfect. To be honest at first I hated my accent. I guess i had my mind set on something more sporty. But after having it a yr I soon changed my mind. I was perfect for me , It was so cheap on gas, and was small enuf that it didn't feel like i was driving a boat , easy to park and drive in close quarters. lots of visability, the the space in the trunk was great. I didn't much care for the lack of a rearend though. I live in Canada and as we all know it can get quite cold up here, but I've seen it get down to - 45 and the car start with no problem at all it was really a car i could trust.

    2002 Hyundai Accent - (M5) Sedan

Pros: The size - small car, yet with ample space

Cons: No keyless entry, power windows, or power locks - things I can live without

Advice: Go for it - it's a great car at an even better price

I actually didn't get to test drive this car from a dealership - this was a surprise from my parents for a birthday present (a very BIG present mind you, and one that I help with payments on every month.) I love this car - it's perfect for getting around town, and has ample space. Mine is a 2 door, which can be a slight pain when someone has to get in or out of the back, but not too bad. The only things I wish Rosie (that's her name) had is keyless entry, automatic locks, and power windows - all things I can live without. It's an INCREDIBLE car at a great price - perfect for college students or older.

    2002 Hyundai Accent - GS (M5) Hatchback

    Pros: Racing-style bucket seats

Cons: Low horses/ exhaust system fixes that

Advice: Get a nicer Stereo system and and install power-locks

I actually own the vehicle, I have had it for about 7 months now. I really enjoy the car, it has great potential to be super-fast and it's already pretty quick as it is. The handling is pretty good stock because of the rack-and pinion and the independent suspension. I get about 33 combo and up to 40-44 MPG on the highway with the Automatic Transmission. The Cargo room is perfect because I can fit my entire drumset, along with hardware and cymbals, in the car by lowering the rear folding seats. With all the equipment I have I can't seat more than two while loaded up, but I never need more than that anyway. I actually fit 2 drumsets once... The A/C is ice cold and cools the car quick, and the heat kicks in quickly and can make you sweat til you lose weight. I got an alarm system along with an ignition kill and got power locks installed. Tinted the windows and painted the grill black right above the bumper. The car almost looks like it has a body kit on the front and the ground clearance is almost that of a sports car. I think that headers and a good exhaust would give the car an extra kick and make it more fun to drive. A turbo would make it a speed machine! I indeed suggest the purchase of the vehicle and I love the Warranty.

    Good car for the money
