Outstanding Vehicle w/Exceptional Quality
Cons: NothingDrove 3400 miles on trip w/average of 39.65 mpg which included full day of mountain driving.
Nice Hybrid compared to Prius
Pros: Colored lights on cup holders
Cons: Cyrus radio stationsNice quiet car getting over 27 mg
Pros: GPS system
Cons: The ride. Not comfortable on any long ride. Performance is not too bad. GPS system is the best I have seen. For a short commuter car this is probably the best. For a family car, it is not my first choice.
They can do better
Pros: Good mileage
Cons: Hard ride.Wonderful car to drive. Good turning radius and easy to like. Car rides very stiff and is too low to ground to clear parking chocks. Have had to replace fender shields due to low profile. Good mileage as advertised and very serviceable. Do not understand hard ride.l Could be improved with better shocks and raising level above ground.
Cons: BACK WINDOW VIEWThis car has delivered and MORE. The hatch back is a great feature, without it I would have purchased a Honda Civic .
Really good, but could be better
Pros: XM Radio
Cons: Hard seatsI got the one with Nav, and this is one place where Honda needs to improve. When I pay $25000.00 for a car, it seems a bit greedy to have to pay $189.00 every year or so to get the new maps. Especially when my $99 .00 Magellen is more accurate. I also wasn't too thrilled to find my door protector on the ground one day less than a year after I bought the car. That's a $140.00 fix that should never be needed. That being said, I have gotten 50 MPG on occasion, and pretty much can count on 40+. The ride is good although the seats could be more comfortable. Rear legroom is excellent. Acceleration sucks, but then again, it is a hybrid. I can get to highway speed OK, but gently. Back to the Nav, I like the integration with the radio and climate control, but I wish the thing understood English. Then again my friend's Cadillac does no better. Over all, I would buy another one. That being said, my next car will probably be a Malibu hybrid. I want to buy American.
Ford does not honor warranty/repair on Mazda hybri
Pros: leather interior and upgrades in the Tribute hybrid Grand Touring
Cons: A/C will not run on the hybrid power. In 2008, Ford and Mazda had a joint pilot program of the Mazda hybrid Tribute SUV. This was a Mazda that guaranteed repair from Mazda combined with Ford's hybrid techs/budget for the hybrid power train. It was a twin to the Ford Escape hybrid. I bought one and Ford refused to honor provision of the hybrid warranty (at most dealers) and repairs. Mazda says that there is no such car when I have problems. Buyers of new tech hybrids should be aware of possible problems like this.
