Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: Almost everything
Advice: Take it easy in the rain/snow!This car is great!! Handles like a dream, as long as the road is dry, and accelerates beautifuly. Definitly a car to look at if you want a roadster.
Pros: Quick acceleration and tight steering.
Cons: Felt every little bump in the road
Advice: Test drive it on a road where you can punch it.This car is sexy looking and fast. The 240 HP engine gives it the ability to accelerate very quickly, even in 6th gear. The steering is incredibly tight and smooth. If you enjoy darting in and out of traffic, this car was made for you. The only thing that I didn't like was that the suspension is so tight, that you feel every little bump in the road, and at 80 mph, I actually felt some vibration-induced nausea... But that might have just been me. Besides, it's a roadster, so I can't complain too much.
Pros: the looks and sex appeal
Cons: The convertible booth is a pain in the a to put on
Advice: This vechicle shoul require a special licence to drive and own it. Not for the weak.Go for the high revs and hold on.
Pros: engine and suspension
Cons: engine could use more torque
Advice: the vehicle's limits are almost endlessBrought a smile to my face. Very fast, handles awesome, looks great, and turns a lot of heads. Make sure to get a younger dealer for the test drive so that you can actually drive the car the way that Honda intended. Drive it like you stole it and you'll love the way it responds.
Cons: Stereo, visibility to the rear, footwell width
Advice: Get a REAL test drive from a sales person who knows.......By far the best 'smile per buck' rating.
Pros: Acceleration is quick, but not blistering. Engine note is the second only to the Porsche Boxster! Great color combination: Black on Red 6 Speed shifts pretty smoothly
Cons: It could have been so sweet if the S2K had at least 300 hp w/260lbs.tq...
Advice: This is the closest you will get to owning a Porsche Boxster for under $60,000. It is truly an enthusiasts car. If you're looking for a comfortable every day cruiser that does not require precision driving, then this car is not for you.I had been fantasizing about drving a Porsche Boxster for awhile but the price kept our relationship at that. So I settled for a Honda S2000 which is only marginally slower but much cheaper... I've been smiling since the day I Bought it. Absolute joy to drive and still a head turner.
Pros: Engine....120 HP per Liter....its only a 2 Liter engine...cRAzY @ 240hp
Cons: More torque would be nice...but dangerous
Advice: Dont count on using this car when it rains or snows.....A great weekend car. Fun in the sun. Words cant express the fun of driving this car.
