2010 Honda Pilot - EX-L FWD
Submitted on 12/22/2009 8:00:39 AM- Summary
Pros: Front seat warmers for cold weather
Cons: Honda's optional roof rack cross bars create wind noise on the road
Advice: Excellent value in the low $30
Excellent value over all compared to all other SUV's that I considered, with seating for eight. The pop up rear window give you a lot of flexability to carry long objects without having to tie them down on the roof rack. After over one year of ownership, the best gas milelage that I have seen was on the road at 28 MPG when the engine automatically moves to the ECO mode and runs on three cylinders. I am averaging 18.4 miles overall. The front wheel drive is excellent in the snow. Honda's bluetooth works poorly with bad reception. This is my second Honda Pilot. I still own my first with 118,000 miles that has requred not major repairs and still runs great. This SUV really keeps its value.

Solid Performer
Pros: Seat comfort on long trips.
Cons: Lack of memory seats.
When gas hit $3 it was time to send my Lincoln Navigator packing. After months of research and test drives I selected the 2010 Honda Pilot. At 6'3', 240 lbs space was very important to me. The Pilot is more comfortable for long distance travel than was the Navigator and the 8 mpg gain was great. There is more cargo room behind the second seat than with the Navigator.
