Pros: The roomy interior
Cons: wish it had 5 seats
Advice: its a roomy reliable carFun to drive, Have had no problems, I really don't understand why anyone would rate it a 20. The car is designed perfect for my needs. Even the plastic fenders do their job. A deer just ran into the rear quarter panel without any damage to the car or the deer. As a carpenter, I need enough room which the element has plenty of. The rear fold up seats give me alot of room. For those who can get past its unique but stylish looks, I definetly recommend it.
Cons: road noise
Advice: Enjoy it!This is a perfect car for a guy in his 70's. Ionly wish Honda would do something about the road noise. Plus the mileage is lousy. how about a 5 speed automatic?
Pros: open roomy feeling
Cons: doors, needs extra gear for gas milage but handles great on hwy.
Advice: Just drive oneI thought this thing was the most ulgiest car! Just drive one for a day or two and I just love it. We make a 10hr trip at least 7x a year and I was not looking forward to going in the E but I loved it plently of room dont feel like you are right on the dash it was a GREAT experience much better than any van we have driven! Plenty of leg room in back seat for my son and the other seat was up so our 70lb dog could come along. I want one for myself. My husband uses it for work and it is great with the rubber floor and can fit just about anything we need it for. After our older son saw and drove it he went and bought him one!
Cons: Pretty Much everything - to be fair the suicide doors in the back are nice
Advice: Avoid it like the plagueThe Honda Element is without question the worst car I have ever owned. I have had several VW's, Ford's, Chevy's, Nissan's, Saab's, Old's, and Dodge. By a mile this Honda is the most frustrating and poorly designed car I have ever had. If you ever read reviews and think even for a second if it is an isolated incedent - please believe this one. The Honda Element sucks BADLY!!!!
Pros: The adjustable back area.
Cons: Rear windows - Air conditioner circulation to back seats is weak, windows should open more.
Advice: If you always have more than 2 passengers, or don't really need to lug more than groceries, this might not be right for you.Has many great features, and plenty of unique (aka awkward) features as well. I like the handling, the quick throttle starting up, the headroom is huge - everyone who sits in back feels like a king! The adjustable storage in back is perfect for trucking boxes and cabinets, lots of space. Things to deal with: doors only open front first, with seatbelt unhooked, which can be tiresome when dropping friends off. Back doors close hard, whereas front doors seem to not shut tight enough (although they do). Rearview mirror is too small, and rear middle brake light is in the way of sight. (OK, I'm tall, but still!) Center console between seats seems unfinished - indeed, I ordered a third-party arm rest/container that fits in and works well enough.
Pros: the interior (sound system, fold-up seats, rubber floors, desk space on the dashboard)
Cons: Gas mileage
Advice: this is an amazing car...get itI just got my element a month or two ago and i have loved every second of it. The sound system in this car is what got me first. I love the sub in the front especially because it's easy to control. I have really enjoyed not having carpet on the floor to catch stains and crumbs, cleaning up is very easy. The functionality of the back seats is great. Just the other day I hauled all of my mowing equipment in the back and it took me no time at all to have the car back to normal. The gas mileage is almost everything I had hoped for in this car although it is slightly less impressive than I had expected. Whoever designed the dash area is a genious. I love all of the slots and desk space. All my friends love the car and constantly tell me that it's the perfect road-trip car because you can almost live in it. Being a college student this car is perfect for me because messes are easy to clean up and it is great for traveling long distances. I would recommend this car to anyone.
Pros: Versatile cargo configurations.
Cons: A rather anemic standard arm rest.
Advice: Opt for the ex.Lived up to my expectations.
