    2009 Honda CR-V

    Submitted on 9/9/2010 9:06:32 AM
    Summary

    I love this Honda CRV

    Pros: Sun and moon roof.

This CRV is the best new vehicle and easiest to drive of all cars that I have ever owned. I am 79 years old and believe me, this is the most fun I have ever had with a new car.

    2009 Honda CR-V

    Submitted on 7/9/2010 6:23:15 AM
    Summary

    Hard to beat a Honda

Pros: Looks and preformance. Need to put a V6 for better power.

Cons: Some road & Cabin noise. All of my Honda's have had the same complaint

Another Honda vehicle that is great all the way around.

    2009 Honda CR-V - LX FWD

    Submitted on 11/28/2009 6:26:46 PM
    Summary

Pros: The overall high quality and spot-on ergonomics.

Cons: Need to raise the driver's armrest slightly to fasten the seatbelt.

Advice: Spend more time test driving one than reading sometimes suspect reviews.

I cannot fathom the other review I read here so just had to post one myself. I have had my new CR-V EX-L for about two weeks and am still amazed at it. I love it. It handles very well, has a very good ride, and the road noise is more akin to a very nice car than to an SUV. And compared to other SUV's I have driven this one has very good visibility in all directions. My daughter had an earlier version CR-V and this current one has a lot more room in it and the quality and appointments have improved greatly. Rear seat room is very good, and the rear seats move fore and aft just like the front seats, so when a taller driver like myself puts the drivers seat all the way back, a passenger behind can do the same with the rear seat. The rear seats are easy to fold up to provide max cargo room, and the volume of that is significant. My EX-L has the rear shelf that the other reviewer complained was not available, but I did a quick search and found a dealer selling them online, plus I found some on eBay. I don't think I have ever had a car with auto on/off headlamps, but honestly I have never needed them. I'm not hard of hearing so a little warning bell like this has is all I need to notice if I left my lights on. Just thought readers might want to know more about the vehicle than one person's pet peeves. I travel extensively and rent a good number of small and mid-sized SUV's. I only wish someone out there rented Honda SUV's. Boy but do I wish that!

    2009 Honda CR-V - LX FWD

    Submitted on 11/16/2009 10:08:40 AM
    Summary

    Pros: The look

Cons: manual lights; no cargo shelf, hard seats

Advice: Don't buy the Honda CRV-LX under any circumstances.

The Honda CRV-LX is a rip off! You would think that automatic headlights on/off feature would be a standard feature on all vehicles in this day/age of auto technology. However, it only comes on the EX-L package. What's even worse is that you can not purchase the auto on/off headlights package and put on your car. I have already had to have a boost off due to leaving the lights on for 2 hours. Also, the CRV has the feature for dual cargo shelf, but you can not find a dual cargo shelf to purchase. Sitting on these seats are very, very uncomfortable; it is like sleeping on a cheap mattress and/or low thread count sheets, it causes severe pain to the skin, tissue, body, and joints (causes soreness). The Honda CRV-LX is just a high price car shell; I have purchased a 2010 Honda CRV-LX that I desperately want to get rid of. If anyone got any suggestions, please email me. If you are not going to buy the Honda CRV-EX-L; don't waste your time on the LX, because they will only buy back for 1/2 the purchase price once it leave the lot. The Honda dealers offers no incentives, rebates, or deals. This was a horrible purchasing experience for me!
