Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Before I started driving this car, I really didn't like the fact that every other car out there was a Honda Civic. Once I started driving it though, I can see why it's well liked. It feels good to drive and it's not an eyesore like some other cars. In addition, gas mileage is great and the price is right. Love it!
Very dependable car - hand me down from my wife and would have preferred EX with sunroof but LX is fine. No maintance other than routine service. Not a head turner but great transportation value.
Pros: mpg and very helpful MID
Cons: back seat spaceI have driven from Dallas to Orlando and back averaging 52 mpg. Another short trip from Houston to Dallas averaging 59 mpg. Overall I get between 52-54 mpg with 90% city and 10% hwy. Extremely pleased with my 2011 Insight LX. My fellow co-workers still can't believe this little Insight can do just as well as a 26K Prius for 6K less.
Pros: Good gas mileage
Cons: Wiper motor went out twice in 5 yearsI have over 200,000 miles and still no problems.
Cons: nothing!many years a acura(integra) driver. when they quit making that model the newer acura was costly. I opted for the Honda since Acura is made by the same co. Not at all disappointed. Not as loaded with the 'toots & whistles' but a great car in all respects.
great car for priceSafe, reliable, flexible space.
Pros: Technological dash board.
Cons: Price. If viewed for what it's meant to be, and that is an in-town economy car, one can only say the Honda Insight is a winner. We average 38 to 42 actual mpg with only in town driving. If you have to drive on the highway everyday, this car is not for you. I hate to say it, but you'd prolly like the Prius much better on the open road.
