2003 Honda Civic - EX w/Side SRS (A4) Coupe
Pros: easy access to all the components on the console
Cons: inexpensive plastics used for finishing touch
Advice: to consider possible competition in this classI have purchased 2003 civic coupe EX, and will have to agree to previous comments (reference to :(email@example.com )about poor gas performance experienced , while driving this vehicle. I haven't performed detail tests indicating precise fuel consumption, but definitely they are way off the advsertized numbers. This vehicle is American made, and driven daily in good driving conditions. Perhaps other opinions could accumulate here to create foundation for further investigation leading to recognition of the problem by Honda, and proper defect recall actions wil be taken. firstname.lastname@example.org
2003 Honda Civic - EX w/Side SRS (M5) Sedan
Pros: instrument panel - very sporty look
Cons: nothing comes to mind...
Advice: Get it - it's the best price for the quality you're going to findI bought a 2003 Honda Accord LX and loved it so much I bought the 2003 Honda Civic EX. It has also proved to be a comfortable, reliable, quality vehicle from Honda. Since then, my wife and I have also purchased a 2004 Honda CRV EX. We did sell the Accord and got the CRV for more room (kids need space) - and we LOVE it too! Having purchased 3 Hondas over the past 2 years I can tell you that we have not had any problems with any of them. We have gotten at least the advertised gas mileage from all of them. I rated it slightly lower for performance only because the engine is not really peppy - but what do you expect from a 4 cylinder that gets over 30MPG? If you're sick and tired of taking your car/SUV in for repairs (you're most likely driving an American car if this fits you), then step up to a Honda and you'll realize that, yes, you can have a car that looks, drives, feels nice without the headache of having it in the shop every other month for 'warranty' work - what good is that 100,000 mile warranty when your car is in the shop all the time? The only bad thing about Honda is that they don't make a pickup truck.
2003 Honda Civic - EX w/Side SRS (A4) Sedan
Advice: AVOID HONDA AS HONDA AMERICA CLEARLY STONEWALLS ON WHAT APPEARS TO BE BROAD BASED PROBLEM.Our 2003 Honda Civic EX, stock equipped, gets 16 mpg city and 23 highway. The car is EPA rated 30/38. A dealer service dept. 24 mile city/highway road test averaged 19.8 mpg although they claimed that a dynometer test covering 1.6 miles indicated 39mpg. All parties, from Honda techline to Honda's regional representative to Honda Consumer Relations all espouse the party line, which is that mileage will vary according to driving conditions, driver, etc. They are clearly stonewalling. I have, off the record, learned thru a Honda service manager, that others have complained of poor mileage. I am currently about to have a retest by a different dealer at the behest of the EPA person who handles Honda. The bottom line is that Honda refuses to acknowledge a defect in manufacture. The car is 16 months old, purchased new, and has just under 7000 miles driven. If Honda doesn't address this major defect, I will next use my attorney to trigger a lemon law case. I am wondering if others who read this know of a similar problem.
2003 Honda Civic - EX w/Side SRS (A4) Coupe
Pros: The Dashbaord
Advice: Buy it best car in its class in every wayI have the car 18 months now. I LOVE it. I have taken 2 cross country trips with it, and car is GREAT. Gas Mileage is outstanding. Love the dashboard. Rides GREAT. Handles GREAT. The one thing I would change, wish the 2-door had more headroom.
2003 Honda Civic - LX (M5) Coupe
Pros: The good looking instrument panel - I love it!! I had to get used to how bright it is - but it is my favorite part :-)
Cons: The seat material - EVERYTHING sticks to it - Even a lint roller won't remover the hair, etc.
Advice: Get ready for it to last, great car!!I love my Honda Civic coupe LX, 5 speed. I put 36,000 miles on it in 14 months. It has held up really well & is still great looking. I love the split fold rear seat - you should see the looks I get at Home Depot when the people see me wheel my over-full cart up to my red civic! I put the seats down & get all sorts of goodies in there. The crown moulding & chair rail I put up in my house all was transported in the civic - it really can hold larger items - the trunck is huge. I have a manual transmission & when I need my little car to go - it does a great job. I also have a 1994 Civic LX 4dr with 170,000 miles on it & it is still going strong. I love my honda! I'm looking at the Elemant next...
2003 Honda Civic - Hatchback
Pros: the Gearbox is the best!!!!!
Cons: needs more low end torque
Advice: buy one they are a blast and they also have legedary honda reliabiltyTalk about a fun to drive car the SI is a spirted hot hatch that loves to rev. The gearbox is one of the best out there, also the stock racing seats are wonderfully supportive and comfortable. This car has perhaps the best driving position there is I cannot say enough good things about this car it also handles like its on rails by the way you can also achive 30mpg
