Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Cons: nothing!many years a acura(integra) driver. when they quit making that model the newer acura was costly. I opted for the Honda since Acura is made by the same co. Not at all disappointed. Not as loaded with the 'toots & whistles' but a great car in all respects.
Very Good Quality
Pros: Quality built
Cons: light rear-endConsidering its a base model, I feel I have all the necessary features. As for road holding, I traded in a '96 Nissan Maxima which held the road better. All in all, I'm pleased with it.
Cons: upholsery fabricReliabiliy, quality and good service at dealership. This is my second Accord with cloth interior...bad choice. Fabric continuies to pill and rubs off while cleaning, never looks clean. Go for the leather.
Cons: sport seatscherry look but not comfortable with ingress and egress
Advice: Do not take the advice of everyone that is so Honda Hallelujah!!Decent car overall. Heated seats are good, but everything in the Accord seems to be just good. However, the brakes seemed to not be up to par to the rental Grand Prix 08 I have after an accident.
Cons: Stiff ride at times on rough roads
Advice: Test drive over various road surfaces. This car is more sporty than cushy.Have 1000 miles on the car now. The 2007 Accord is fun to drive. Solid build quality. I have had no transmission trouble to date and never did on the 88 Accord I owned for 18 years am wondering if the previous reviewer is actually talking about the 2007 Camry? Big transmission problems this year for that model. 4 cylinder is fuel efficient, I got 29 miles per gallon last tank with A/C and jack rabbit starts (kinda irresistable on this car its fast even with the 4 cylinders). Handles sharp. Looks sharp. Huge trunk. Nice controls and features. Suspension is a little too tight on rough roads. Seats are a little hard. Quiet engine.
Pros: None, its a very 'plain', family car, that I purchased for the implied reliability.
Cons: The transmission shifts horribly, due, apparently, to a serious design flaw.
Advice: Don't even THINK about buying a 2007 Honda accord 4cyl automatic.I purchased a 2007 Honda Accord, 4 cyl, automatic, a few weeks ago, June 31, 2007. I test drive the car several times on the highway, or local highway. When I got the car home and drove it on local roads, it was obvious that the transmission was not shifting correctly. I brought the car back to the dealer the day after picking it up, and they said 'Well, they all shift like that'. The transmission tech said that there are known problems with the 2007 transmissions, and honda did not have a fix yet. The dealer never mentioned any known problems with Honda transmissions. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed that honda would sell me this car, not tell me that there are known problems, and they can't even fix it! last week, they replaced shift solenoids, which changed the character of the problem, but did not fix it. It was obviously an attempt to patch the problem, since the car still shifts horribly at low RPM and low acceleration. I only hope the Massachusetts lemon law can force Honda to fix the car.
