Pros: V6 Engine
Cons: The alloys wheel could be better....
Advice: Great car for everyday driving...I am pleased with the Accord so far. Other than warped rotors (twice), no other problems. Dealership service is great. The seats are, I believe the most comfortable I have ever sat in. The XM radio is great.I love the V6 engine. The 4 did not have great pick-up...Great buy that I would recommend...
Pros: The V6 240 horsepower engine
Cons: The rear appearance
Advice: If you work the dealer, you can get one of these decked out for $25K.When you first step into the Accord the first impression you have is of luxury and refinement. It seems as if every convenience possible has been considered. From the voice activated navigation system to the remote that has a feature to open all the doors and the windows at once. The interior is roomy and in the leather package, luxurious. The seats are some of the most comfortable I've ever seen, even on long 4-5 hour trips. The instrument panel is bright and attractive, with all the controls that you really need on the leather trimmed steering wheel. The seats are even heated at low or high settings. There is clearly very little drop off from luxury class cars like Acura and Lexus. The only complaint that I have is with the sound system. While it advertises quite a bit, I found that the mid range sound from the unit was virtually non existent. Installing an aftermarket head unit isn't really an option, as it most likely wouldn't integrate as seamlessly into the awesome navigation system. One complaint that probably won't be an issue for most, but I live in a new housing development and my street isn't on the dvd. This is a minor nuisance but I wonder how or when I can update the maps. The performance of the 240 horsepower V6 Engine is exhilarating, and the drive by wire throttle system gives the Accord such a buttery smooth feeling when accelerating. The Accord corners tightly and the assisted steering is nimble. The 4 Door Sedan has more of a luxury car's handling than a sportier car like my last Integra GSR. But unlike my GSR the Accord is whisper quiet with ultra low drag compared with most cars in it's class. The engine isn't loud even at high rpms. The Automatic is smooth and effortless. The car is so comfortable to drive, it really does exactly what a true luxury car should do, and that is to give the effect of driving itself. The body is both attractive and boring at the same time. I needed a 4 door, which has a completely different body style than the Coupe. While they both share the same futuristic, long cat-eye headlights and sloping front, but the rear of the Sedan is reminiscent of the old Accords, bland and a little blunt. I opted to talk the dealer into putting on a rear wing spoiler and chrome tailpipes which spruced it up a bit, but there isn't much you can do. Overall the Accord V6 Sedan w/navigation and XM is so refined, powerful and well built that it's a wonder anyone would opt for something more expensive in the official 'Luxury' class.
Pros: Heated seats and in-dash CD/XM radio
Cons: Steering controls unlit
Advice: You CANNOT go wrong with the Accord. My wife and I love our new Accord. It is luxurious AND sporty at the same time. The seats are by far the BEST I have ever experienced in an automobile. Fit and finish is first rate, and everyone that rides in it comments on how nice it is. The climate control is great and the stereo/CD is awesome. I really think that the Accord is the best value for my hard earned dollar.
Pros: The quiet soft ride.
Cons: The high gas mileage.
Advice: Do not use the mileage estimates on the sticker as accurate measures. They are estimates only. This is the first new car I have ever purchased. I love how quiet and smooth the car drives particularly on the highway. I previously drove a Nissan Maxima and the ride is wonderful by comparison. I also love the sound system and styling of my Accord. I just wish I had known that there is such a chronic problem with poor gas mileage with this engine (according to the service manager at the dealership-O'Neill Honda) particularly on the highway which is 80% of my driving. I had hoped to improve from my Nissan which got about 22 MPH. I am getting between 14 to 16 and the dealer tells me it is not covered by warranty.
Pros: smoother automatic transmission
Cons: headroom, i'm 6'5'
Advice: will hardly find a better bang for your $just bought this baby 2 days ago and it is a vast improvement over my 2000 accord coupe V6. the ride is so much smoother, more power, TCS, heated seats, XM radio, dual climate etc. and i got a 2004 for only $22,999+TTL here in Houston.
Pros: XM already included
Cons: not all windows are AUTO on the EX model
Advice: Don't look any longer buy a Honda Accord. The 2004 Honda Accord EX 5-spd AT w/Leather and XM Radio has been the best purchase overall. I test drove a 2004 Toyota Camry LE, Mazda 6, and Nissan ALtima 2.5. I was not very impressed with the performace of these 3 vehicles, the level of comfortness and performance was outperformed by the 2004 Honda Accord EX. What got me on the Accord was the style, included features (sunroof, climate control, heated front seats, cup holders, storage area, etc..) overall sticker price, is what I belive a great deal. Honda proved to me that it makes such a dependable and affordable vehicle.
Pros: exterior and interior design
Cons: lack of head room with moonroof
Advice: Don't be taken in by all the incentives on other cars. In the long runFor the money, you can't match the Honda Accord coupe for quality, styling, and fun.
