When the 2014 GMC Yukon recently earned a segment win in the J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) study, it represented an important recognition of how much owners loved the vehicle during their first 90 days of ownership. But it also represented a rare sweep of all three of the most-watched Power reports in the industry: Earlier this year, the 2014 GMC Yukon had claimed the top spot among "Large SUVs" in the Initial Quality Study, and the 2011 Yukon led its category in the 2014 Vehicle Dependability Study, too. And while that has happened in the past, the 2014 GMC Yukon is the only vehicle to garner the J.D. Power hat-trick this year.

(Note: As a reminder, that last study specifically looks to dependability after three years of vehicle operation, so the 2014 results are based on data from 2011 model-year entries. Which still bodes well for the 2014 GMC Yukon, since it's from the same vehicle generation as the 2011 edition.)

Said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick and GMC: “Recognizing the Yukon demonstrates the effort and attention to detail given by our engineers and designers. These awards reinforce our focus on putting the customer at the center of everything we do from the first visit to the dealership, to the drive home, or 10 years down the road.”

Just keep in mind that, while the award-winning 2014 GMC Yukon is still available at many Autobytel GMC dealerships, so is the growing portfolio from the all-new next-gen Yukon that was completely redesigned for the 2015 model year. On sale starting from $46,335, the 2015 GMC Yukon will be eligible for J.D. Power recognitions with next year's wave of studies.
