2003 GMC Sierra 1500 - SLE 4x4 Extended Cab Short Box

Pros: Step-side styling, and push button transfer case.

    Cons: 16.4 mpg, with 5300 V-8

Advice: If you want a dependable road vehicle, this one is a great ride.

Driving in deep snow, the truck seems to wander a bit. Could be due to wider tires floating on nthe snow. I owned a '97 Sonoma 2 wheel drive, that tracked a lot better. But, I have never worried about getting through the deepest snowfall. Alas, my Sonoma failed that test, and got replaced. Overall quality and fit is passable. But, the sharp edges on the plastic trim pieces was annoying. I actually had to sand the lid to my center console to avoid cuts. I love the truck, as it is fitted with almost everything. The heated seats are great here in the north. Defrosting side view mirrors are something I might not have thought of, but I won't be without them again.

2003 GMC Sierra 1500 - AWD Extended Cab Flare Side Short Box

    Cons: Very

Advice: requires big pocket book for gas

Needs 4 full dooors. Extended cab lacks room. Gas Milage is very poor!
