    2007 GMC Yukon

My GMC Yukon Saved My Life

    Pros: Large size and comfort

Cons: Nothing we love everything about our GMC Yukon

We have owned a GMC Yukon for 10 years. I was hit by a Semi in 05'. Had I been in a little fuel efficient car I wouldn't be here today. Gas mileage is worthless to us if the vehicle isn't SAFE! Hey if we go all electric to save high gas and emitions electricity will just cost more. We leased all of our Large SUVS so we just bought this one w/ very low miles. I NEVER care about fuel economy now, only safety. Our GMC is comfortable and a gorgeous vehicle. Sorry so many love those tiny death traps but we wll always have a large SUV. We have grandbabies now and they are safer in our Yukon than all those tiny cars. Thank you General Motors for making such a wonderful vehicle.

2006 GMC Sierra 1500 - AWD Crew Cab

    Pros: Interior

Cons: Wheels. Should have nicer wheels for price and type of truck.

Advice: Look around for mileage and condition of body. And of course price comparatively!

Great power, good throttle response, drives like new and very good quality ride. Brakes are sharp! SOunds good for stock exhaust.

    2008 GMC Sierra 1500 - SLT 4x2 Extended Cab 6' Box

Pros: Quiet car-like ride and handling.

    Cons: Turning radius.

Advice: Choose the 5.3 liter V8 for best mileage.

This is my first pickup. Chose it over the Tundra because of ease of access and appearance of the interior. It has good mileage for a full-size pickup. I live in the country and average about 16.5 mpg overall.

    2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Classic - SLE1 4x2 Crew Cab

    Pros: Smooth ride

Cons: it always is in the shop

    Advice: caveat emptor

My husband purchased this truck while on emergency leave from Iraq for me (his wife), and two small children. He wanted us to have a reliable vehicle while he was off at war. We truely believe it is a lemon. It has 5000 miles and has been in the shop around 6x's. The service manager admitted that they had been having problems with reports of this model having water intrusion. I have been stranded on the side of the road twice. I need this truck to go see my husband who is coming home in 2 weeks to make a 3000 mile trip. I have no confidence in the truck.

    2007 GMC Yukon - AWD

Pros: Navigation, running boards, styling, engine and drivetrain power, Bose sound system with XM Radio the four captain chairs - it gives everyone a comfortable seat in the first two rows.

Cons: third seat room - it is best for the small ones, electric folding seats - kinda a silly feature but clever

Advice: If you want a well built, comfortable SUV - go for the Denali - you will be satisfied

I have had a 1994 GMC Suburban, 2000 Yukon, 2003 Escalade and now a black on black 2007 GMC Denali. They have all been great SUV's but the newly designed 07 exceeds my expectations. I almost got another Escalade until I saw that the Denali was about $10K less than the 'Sclade'. I have every option - one of my favorite is the retractable running boards with the 20 inch rims ( the caddy only offers 18 or 22's - - I like the 20's). The navigation system combined with the phone is great - spend the time to figure it out and you will not be sorry. The rear seat entertainment system is easy to use and the back up camera is a must have if you tow a boat. It allows you to align the hitch with the ball. The heated seats and steering wheel come on when you use the remote start feature ( and it cools the car off in the summer) - it makes having a black car in California tolerable. The ride is smooth and the build quality is excellent, I have not had to take it back to the dealership for anything other than the oil changes in 12K miles. Due to issues with other GM cars I have moved over to Ford products - with the exception of this Denali, the Lincoln Navigator does not hold a candle to the new GMC Denali
