I love my envoy! It has been a trouble free vehic
Pros: It looks great and is very comfortable.
Cons: I don't have any issues. It has been a great vehicle. You don't feel all of the bumps when driving like other cars I have been in. Very comfortable ride.
I have tried many of the new SUV'S,but my seames to ride and handle as good as some of the 2010 Modles that I have tried! It has served me well and has about all the bells& whistles that where avalible in 2003. It has good gas mileage.ride is comfortable!
materials are so bad
Pros: on star
Cons: wind noisethis suv has a smooth ride, and lots of space. thats where it ends evrything goes down hill from there. lots of wind noise cheap plastic
Cons: no power side view mirrors; not great for very tall people
Advice: To enjoy the Envoy you have to buy the deluxe model which cost a lot more otherwise you don't have an exciting experience.I had very minor problems in the four years I drove the car. The windshield wiper spray never worked after getting it fixed. The center console was too delicate it broke 2 times. Every so often, I heard some engine noise and I had the model with out power side mirrors which was a royal pain (what is the point of power mirrors and no power side mirrors, it is not safe). Also, I am 6ft and my husband is 6'6 he and I had a difficult time with long drives (you can't adjust the non-power seats enough to make it comfortable). I liked the car okay and would still recommend it but I would say pay for all the bells and whistles to make the care work for you. I have truly fallen in love with my Acura and now I feel I was just settling before.
Cons: Front console, rear seats do not fold flat
Advice: Shop around, lost $3k in value immediatly!Dissapointing. V8 1/2 ton GMC pickup got better mileage. First 2 tanks average no more than 15mpg mixed hwy/city. No room in front console, only 1 useable cup holder and in an awkward place. No place to store sunglasses, ashtray or cell phone. Storage console and headliner flimsy. Could have been better thought out before production. Wish I'd waited and test drove others more.
Pros: The space for SUV price and it is garagable.
Cons: The handling. The rear end wanders too much during emer maneuvers.
Advice: Get the rear SAB and 3.73 rear axleBought a SLT 4WD EnvoyXL. After approx 2K miles I still have mostly good things to say. Seating is stellar, best in industry (entire industry). If you need 3rd row seating, this is the vehicle. They are history for '07 so get one now. There is even real room behind the 3rd row. The dash is nice too. Other pleasures are the lthr, Onstar, auto HVAC and reclining 2nd row. Drives very nice, very smooth for a truck and quiet too. The dark side is the handling, mileage and general performance. All are at best adequate and they are adequate. They were all also known at the time of purchase. The features that are a pain are the DIC, the rear door effort to shut and the 3rd row that does not fold flat into the floor. I think it needs another gear in the tranny. The 4spd works very well, but is very old technology.
Pros: Ride quality and interior.
Cons: Rear view is blocked by rear entertainment screen when down.
Advice: Take advantage of deals now! Dealers can't move these off their lot. Make them cut you a great deal!Outstanding ride quality and power from V-8. Drives like a car, pulls 6000 lbs, and seat 6 full size people (7 if someone wants to squeeze in undersized 2nd row middle seat). This is a great value - about $10k less than similarly equipped foreign model.
