2008 Ford F-150 - FX4 4x4 Super Cab Styleside Styleside 6.5' Box
Pros: The FX4 package includes the utimate truck options. Its not a 'one tire wonder' the rear end limited slip is great, it eliminates having to use 4x4 alot.
Cons: In the winter months I have gotten as low as 10mpg (however, this is city and off-road use)
Advice: Buy only the FX4 off road package. Mechanically your talking a totally different vehicle than the regular F150.It's a REAL truck.Interior has tons of room. Truck has a great smooth ride, close to that of a car. Plenty of power. A great feature that I have never seen before is that the back windows go completely down. They don't pop out a few inches or are child proof. My dogs love it. Lots of box space for a supercab. With the quadcab you lose most all of the box. Handling of this truck is superb. The brake and gas pedals are adjustable with the touch of a button. Very good factory stereo. However, it loves gas. I gotton up to 18 but also as low as 10mpg. Overall I love this truck.
2004 Ford F-250 - XLT 4x4 SD Super Cab Long Box
Pros: Powerful and looks great.
Cons: Gas mileage
Advice: Don't buy a Chevy!!!I have owned this truck for almost 4 years. This is a great truck. I would buy another ford f250 without hesitation.
2008 Ford F-250 - XL 4x4 SD Regular Cab
Pros: The looks
Cons: Fuel economy
Advice: Don't buy unless you have lots of money for gas and like getting stuck.I recently purchased a 2008 F250 Super Duty for work. I made a mistake!! This truck only gets about 10 to 11 mile per gallon. It has the 5.4 triton and it seriously lags in power. I pulled off the road the other day and I had to put it in 4 wheel drive to get out. I was slipping on some wet grass. It looks really sharp but the performance is terrible. I would never recommend this truck to anyone. Last year I purchased a Chevy Silverado 4x4 with a 5.3 for my personal use. I get about 19 mpg with it. It is much better in mud and snow compared to the Ford Super Duty. The Chevy has twice the power than the Ford does. The headlights on the Chevy are much brighter as well.
2005 Ford Ranger - Edge (864A) 4x2 2dr Super Cab Styleside
Pros: the 3.0L V6 may only have 170HP but if u shift it right with a stick u will burn most people with a v8 that dont know how to drive it right
Cons: gas i wish it got a little more mpg, and it didnt have a speed limiter
Advice: buy it basic, less things to go wrong if u want somthing quick i advise the 3.0L with the 5 speed stickThis is my 1st car, and im very pleased with it. when i drove it i pulled up next to a v6 mustang (newer one) and when i reved ou the 1st gear the guy started to rev out his apparently he wanted to race so i pushed the truck as hard as it could and wooped the mustang, to this day i push the truck hard every time i take it down the road i open it up once or twice.
2003 Ford F-150 SuperCrew - XLT 4x2 SuperCrew Cab Styleside Styleside

Cons: Not a reliable truck. Had problems since I bought it (new)
Advice: Don't own a Ford. This truck runs smooth.
2006 Ford Ranger - XLT (867A) 4x4 2dr Super Cab Styleside
Pros: The ease of use, everything is well laid out and easy to use.
Cons: The stock good year tires.
Advice: If you are a large person go with the extended cabThis little truck can do anything! Off-road it is great. On-road is clean. The only thing that I don't care for on the truck is the stock tires. Not bad, just not good at any one thing.
2006 Ford F-150 SuperCrew - XLT 4x4 SuperCrew Cab Styleside Styleside 6.5' Box
Pros: Seats six and looks!
Cons: No internal storage
Advice: Get a tonneau cover and easy on the gas pedal.I bought this truck based on its complete redesign in 2004. The fully boxed frame, outrigger rear shocks, quiet steel, powerful engine, and seats six. It has so many positive features. Did I mention the looks. I am able to tweak out 18.6 MPG mixed driving this past fill-up. I check tire pressure monthly and clean the air filter monthly. Set the cruise control as often as you can. No jack-rabbit starts. Definitely slow down. It makes a huge difference. The only draw-back is the cost of fuel. It;s killing our budget. I am able to go 9 or 10 days between fill-ups. Not long enough. I would prefer to go a full 14 days in between. Oh well. I knew that going in when I bought the truck. I only wish it had more internal storage space.
