However, based on information about the Lincoln LS - which shares the same powertrain and platform - it should be a good performance, nice handling, smooth ride. The shortened chassis reportedly caused some rear-end stability problems, but Ford pushed back the Job1 date to 5/21/01 to remedy that. The real difficulty with this car will be finding a way to test drive before purchase. Most dealers are already overbooked and charging a hefty premium to would-be buyers. The best I can say is the clean, classic styling and Thunderbird heritage makes this a must-have for the enthusiast, and hope its drivability lives up to the reputation of the brand name.
