Ford Skyliner VIP Van Walkaround At The 2014 New York Auto Show

Whenever you see movie stars or dignitaries arriving to an important event, what vehicle are they usually in? Most likely it's either a limousine or an SUV but recently, vans such as the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter have been called in for duty. Now, these vans aren't your standard cargo or twelve passenger van. No, these are ultra-luxury vans that come with a number of luxury amenities such as leather wrapped captain chairs, premium infotainment system, lush carpeting, and much, more more designed to take whomever to wherever they need to be in style.

With the upcoming Ford Transit, the automaker decided to try its hand at the luxury van too. To do so, they called in Galpin Auto Sports in Van Nuys, California, to help design and build a ultra-luxury Transit concept called the Skyliner. Melvin Betancourt, the design manager of the Skyliner, gives a walkthrough of this very luxurious van.
