1.6 EcoBoost and Six-Speed Manual Transmission Disappear
2013 ford fusion
The 2015 Ford Fusion is getting a slight price bump over the 2014 model. The 2015 model will now feature a pricetag of $23,225, including destination. Compared to the 2014 Fusion, the 2015 model gets a $430 increase in price. Also seeing a price increase is the Fusion Hybrid. The 2015 model is up $225 to $27,300. The Fusion Energi Plug-In stays steady at $35,525.
The big change for 2015 is the removal of the 1.6L EcoBoost four from the Fusion's powertain lineup. Along with that, the six-speed manual transmission is also being dropped. That leaves the Fusion with three different powertrains; a 2.5L four-cylinder, a 1.5L EcoBoost four, and a 2.0L EcoBoost four. All three engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Other changes include the base model getting sixteen-inch, ten-spoke alloy wheels and a new six-way power adjustable passenger seat; rear-view camera becoming standard across the range, and a choice of four new colors; Bronze Fire Tinted Clearcoat Metallic, Guard, Tectonic and Magnetic. SE and Titanium models get a new Terracotta package which adds leather-trimmed seats, door inserts and eighteen-inch painted and machined alloy wheels.
