    2005 Ford Freestyle - SE (110A) FWD

Pros: Lower profile that others and looks good

    Cons: Passenger area tinting

Advice: Consider paying more for leather seats

Not a bad vehicle for the money. Sluggish to fair on performance as we were used to 5.4 engine. This is more than made up by dollars saved at gas pump. Road noise factor could be better as could tire choice.(not a fan of one ply tires)Premium sound is OK but not anything special. Passenger compartment needs darker tint on windows. Brake pads used must be cheap as they really dirty up your wheels in a hurry. Worst I ever seen! Everything seems to work fine and doors and trim line up great with no ugly gaps. Would havce liked to had a better choice of interior colors to match an excellent choice of outside choices. Not a good interior color for dog lovers or familys with activce kids.

    2005 Ford Freestyle - Limited (130A) FWD

Pros: Great interior space and you still get decent mileage.

Cons: Who uses VINYL in a $30,000 vehicle? Who uses vinyl in any vehicle??????

Advice: Nothing compares with the layout of this vehicle, but for the price there are better choices.

It is pleasant driving the Freestyle. Compared to some 30k vehicles, the ride isn't quite as smooth. The transmission is smooth, but revs hard when you step on it. It seems to me that there is a slight rev even when cruising. The cabin could be more quiet. The interior parts are also a little cheap, including the cheap VINYL seats. They are 'leather-trimmed.' Only the perforated part is leather. The entire back seat is vinyl. This is a very functional vehicle; I love the amount of space. But check out the details and you realize that you are still driving a FORD.

    2005 Ford Freestyle - Limited (160A) AWD

Pros: Great GAS Mileage, Comfy Ride, Tons of Room for Cargo, Lotta Bang for you Buck, Safety Airbag Canopy, Leather Heated Seats, Nice Interior Design, Outside is sharp, 18' wheels, DVD Player

Cons: Didn't find anything I could even complain about, as a former Exporer owner, I am sold on this vehicle

Advice: Go to the Showroom, and ask for a test ride, you will be impressed at how much you get for under 30K

I read where they say this vehicle is a Volvo with Ford emblems on it and I can't agree more. If you want a SAFE, Great On Gas vehicle that has the characteristics of a SUV & a Car, look no further. The Freestyle is going to become the 'New' SUV for those Families who are fed up with putting 60 dollars in the gas tank every week. We now get double the gas mileage that we use to get in our Large SUV. And most important, we saved nearly $8,000 by selecting a FULLY LOADED Freestyle Limited with AWD. The car is well designed, has a nice look, the roof is aerodynamic helping cut down on the fuel also. The vehicle is built on a Volvo platform and it feels it, you would swear you were in a expensive European model car. Power is plenty, unless you are looking for snap your neck sports car power, this vehicle will transport you, your family, or a ton of cargo with ease and in style. Heated leather seats are real nice, DVD player is great for the kids. Optional Full Safety Canopy Air bags protect all three rows. Transmission is nice, it revs to speed then carries you on your way to bliss.

    2005 Ford Freestyle - SEL (150A) AWD

Pros: Low profile and 7 passenger seating

Cons: Horrible service and dealer indifferance

Advice: Thouroughly test drive the vehicle you are actually getting before buying

Picked up vehicle on Feb.01,2005; speedometer and climate control was not working. After 3 hours of waiting for vehicle to be repaired only speedometer was temp. corrected and an appt. was made for Feb.07. Taking it onto a highway proved a horrible experance; speedometer went to 120mph and locked up there, cruise control was difficult to disengage. When brought to dealer on Feb.07, they told me they would exchange vehicle.Feb.08 the dealer now changed his mind and this incident is with Ford Motor Co. customer service. Stay tuned for updates!!!!!!!

    2005 Ford Freestyle - Limited (160A) AWD

    Pros: 7 seats

Cons: After only 3000 miles I now have an oil leak !!!!

Advice: It is a good car by design, but manufacturing quality might be poor...

Smooth ride, excellent interior spacing design, poor manufacturing quality (oil leaks, doors are not properly aligned)
