Pros: The Cargo space
Cons: The sound of the CVT engine... No excitement.
Advice: Avalon would be a better choice
Average driving, no excitement. I guess my anticipation was too high, but once drive in the car, The car offers no excitment and is slugish. Interior is decent, but the surface of the dashboard is rough

Pros: transmission and high seating handling
Cons: Bright map lights in back seat. need adjust button
Advice: Test drive it. it is priced right for size and options on car
looks great, handles great, ride is super. Plenty room in front and back. Mileage avg 26 for city and road combo. Full trunk and could not see a difference in handling. Engine gives enough power in all situtations. Transmission is key for this car, Handle mountains with no panic moments. First 3000 miles no issues at all. One more thing. everything acutally works on the car. This not your normal ford. Some one worked hard at ford on this car. In my opinion if this car holds this standard after 3 years old, ford will sell all they can make.

Pros: The 'right sized' engine. Not a hemi
Cons: Nothing
Advice: Buy it so you can say you owned an original model year Five Hundred. This is a classic car.
Smooth and well appointed, this car responds nicely and handles superbly. The best North American large car of 2005 by a long shot.
