Pros: Powerful and looks great.
Cons: Gas mileage
Advice: Don't buy a Chevy!!!I have owned this truck for almost 4 years. This is a great truck. I would buy another ford f250 without hesitation.
Pros: PowerStroke!! Also, the power sliding rear window...how cool is that?
Cons: Steering radius, and those really short arm rests on the bucket seats...I mean there's just enough room for your elbows!
Advice: Go for PowerStroke! You DEFINATELY won't be dissapointed!I have owned my Harley Davidson F-250 for a little over a year now, and I don't believe I'll ever buy anything but a Powerstroke Diesel again! I also installed the Banks 6-gun system with SpeedLoader...gave it an extra 115hp!! It's acceleration is almost sports car-like, with the ride of anything BUT a large pickup! The only thing I find to be the slightest bit of a problem is the steering radius...but they fixed that on the 05 models with coil front suspension! Ford just keeps outdoing themselves with the Super Duty trucks - can't wait to see what they come up with next!
Pros: The solid way it feels on the road.
Cons: Haven't found it yet
Advice: Shop around, If you tow a trailer GET THE POWERSTROKE DIESEL!!!!!Powerstroke diesel is the only way to go. AWESOME!!!!! And for a few bucks more you can make these things really come to life. Not many gas motors going to keep up with this one.
Cons: nothing so far
Advice: Buy one you will love itgreat truck lots of power, and the ride is great!!!!
Pros: Power at high altitude (5000' to 9000')
Cons: Turning radius, although it's acceptable for this wheelbase
Advice: Get the diesel with automatic: power and great fuel ecomomy...Put 3700 miles on truck in 1st month. Couldn't be happier. Power with 6.0 diesel is exceptional for a 7100lb truck. Am getting 20+ mpg at 65mph, 17.5mpg @80mph, 16.5-17.5 around town. With 38gal tank this gives very long range between fillups. Truck feels very solid on the road and off, and feels like it is going slower than it really is. Very hard to keep it at the speed limit. Cornering ability is also a welcome surprise. Don't recommend chasing sports cars up a canyon in a F-250, but when the turbo's spooled this truck will make them work to get away from you. Also like the much higher redline (4200) than the Cummins or Duramax (3100?), so you never run out of rpm or gears.
Pros: Powerful 6.0L PowerStroke Diesel
Cons: Arm rests on captains chairs are not long enough
Advice: Go for the diesel you won't be dissappointedThis is a large truck that drives like a commuter. the ride is smooth and stable. The 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel has plenty of power to spare. After a rocky 2003 intro the 6.0L has shown vast improvements. The lariat is quite comfortable inside with dual captains chairs and rear 60/40 leather bench. the only drawbacks for me are the arm rest on the captains chairs are not long enough and the extendable trailer tow mirrors when extended tend to whistle. over all ford has outdone themselves once again with a heavy duty truck that shadows the competitors.
Pros: turn signal on mirrors
Cons: gas mileage
Advice: price shopping, I did.best priced truck with features
