Ford Announces The 2014 F-150 STX SuperCrew

As if there weren't enough ways to configure an F-150 pickup, Ford has announced a new configuration that will be available for the 2014 model year called the F-150 STX SuperCrew. This new model will sit in between the XL and XLT SuperCrew models.

The STX SuperCrew adds a considerable amount of equipment over the base XL model, including body-colored bumpers, grille, and fascia; seventeen-inch alloy wheels, cloth seats, tilt-steering wheel, manual lumbar adjustment for the driver, air conditioning, cruise control, and AM/FM radio with CD player and aux jack.

You have the choice of two different powertrains. The base is a 3.7L V6 with 302 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque. Optional is a 5.0L V8 with 360 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. If you're expecting to have the choice of either two-wheel or four-wheel drive with either engine, then we have some bad news for you. The V6 only comes in two-wheel drive, while the V8 only comes in four-wheel drive.

Ford also announced a new STX Sport Package that is available on all STX models. The Sport Package includes such items as a black grille, black running boards, twenty-inch wheels, black and gray cloth seats, and box decals.

“With the rapidly expanding full-size pickup market continuing to benefit from economic growth and replacement demand, price-conscious buyers are returning looking for an affordable truck with space, capability and style. Adding the Ford F-150 STX SuperCrew and the new STX Sport Package to our 2014 lineup gives these truck shoppers more value-oriented F-150 models to consider,” said Doug Scott, Ford truck group marketing manager.

The 2014 STX SuperCrew starts at $33,145 for the V6 model and $37,570 for the V8 model. Prices don't include the $1,095 destination charge.
