    2006 Ford F-150 - FX4 4x4 Super Cab Styleside Styleside 6.5' Box

Pros: Standard 4-channel [wheel] ABS, chassis ridgitity, styling, performance, fit/finish

Cons: Whimpy base stereo, flimsy column shifter, it weighs 6000 pounds!

Advice: Try every full size truck, and save the Ford F-150 for last, the benchmark full size pick up will smack you right in the face...FORD F-150!!

This truck is the greatest vehicle I've ever owned! This review applies to the 2005 model [the '06 is a carry-over from the '05 model year]. Handling- tight, accurate, linear. Brake pedal has superb modulation, strong brakes. Brakes- Front: Aluminum twin piston calipers, vented discs; Rear: Single piston calipers, vented discs. 4 channel anti lock brakes are standard, they include EBD[Electronic Brakeforce Distribution]. 300hp 5.4 Triton V8 strong, but transmission can be reluctant to down-shift at times. Fit and finnish nearly benchmark Audi, great ergonomics, quite at crusing speed, engine refined. GM 5.3L V8 is more refined, but lack power over the Ford's 5.4 V8. GM, Dodge, Nissan, Toyota do not stand up to F-150's class benchmark in nearly every catagory. P.S. the F-150's chassis ridgitity is WAY better than the Silverado!!!

2006 Ford F-150 - STX 4x2 Super Cab Flareside Flareside

Pros: flare side, comfort of driving

    Cons: STX;s limited available options

Advice: shop and compare, I don't think you will find a better value for the money

has excellent handling and comfort, has car like ride, brakes perform great, I know because I had to use them to avoid another driver who pulled right out in front of me, on test drive, ABS did great job and helped me keep control of truck and allowed me to steer around what could have a fatal accident, for the other driver. also like the smooth power from optional V8.

    2006 Ford F-150 - Lariat 4x4 Super Cab Styleside Styleside 6.5' Box

    Pros: captain seats, shift console.

Cons: probably love to see the clock relocated some where alse kind hard to see

Advice: you will love this truck much better quality than ram 1500 (owned)

drove this truck about 40 miles in the highway it drives like a car, nice quite comfortable romie interior with and powerful brakes, this is a 06 4x4 lariat extended cab 6.5 almost fully loaded (no audiophile and sunroof) sticker price $38800 pay $30400.
