2003 Ford F-150 - XLT 4x4 Regular Cab Styleside 6.5' Box
Pros: the whole car
Cons: location of the cup holders
Advice: strongly consider the ford!
I had a Ford Ranger prior to this truck and hated it ever since I got it. This truck is nothing short but incredible. I own the FX4 addition with the 4.6 engine and let me tell you the truck moves. I can see why this is the best selling truck in America for the last 25 years!! -
2003 Ford F-150 - Lariat 4x2 Super Cab Flareside 6.5' Box
Pros: Captains seats for comfort
Cons: Nothing
Advice: Great vehicle - feels at home either hauling or using for social occasions.
Great ride - Far more comfortable that the '01 Ranger 4x4 that I traded in for the F-150. Plenty of space in extended cab. Better gas milage, lower Insurance cost than the Ranger 4x4. -
2003 Ford F-150 - Lightning 4x2 Regular Cab Flareside 6.5' Box
Pros: The complements I get from other people! Men, women, young & old.
Cons: Having to go to a Ford dealer to have it serviced.
Advice: Keep shopping around until you find a dealer who will sell it for no more than list price; or below.
In my twisted speed crazed mind I used to dream of a pickup that had the power & handing of the F-150 Lightning ... however, I never actually thought someone would actually build the thing! If you need the practicality of a pickup, but would also like the punch of a 1965 GTO ... the Lightning is for you! -
2003 Ford F-150 - XLT 4x2 Super Cab Styleside 6.5' Box
Pros: Ground clearance and Red color is best
Cons: No step bars on my model
Advice: Get them to give you step bars. V6 plenty of power and great gas milage.
Test drove several models of F150's and extended cab is the ticket. Automatic is a definate for city driving, bucket seats are great on confort and quality, controls are placed so you dont have to look for them, and the XLT comes with a bed liner. Went with the 4.2 V6, plenty of power for family/city use and great gas milage. Truck is a great value for the price, just drive one.
