Substandard window regulators.
Cons: Paying for broken window regulators.I have bought ford's for 40yrs. & unless you bought the low end mod. with hand crank windows , you were forced to get power window ,great when they work but very coastly when they break. The regulator that opens & closes the windows is substandard in all fords they seemed to last just long enough untill the warrenty runs out then they foil leaving you with your window glass down inside the door. Try going through 2 hurricane's like that I'm and old guy & it hard for me to handel a tarp in high winds to keep the rain out of my veh. Then you have the repair coast,,350.00 to 400.00 to replace the regulator. Bad design for the owner .Great for FORD & the dealer.
Cons: Dealer service and brakes
Advice: Dont buy the f-150Brake rotors wore out before brake pads on front. Dealer says its normal, so i'm stuck with an $800.00 brake job every 25000 miles
Cons: QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE
Advice: IF THERE IS A VIBRATION IN THE REAR END DURING TEST DRIVE DO NOT BUY! LISTEN TO THE ENGINE AS WELL FOR ANY KNOCKS OR TICKS!I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW. WORST VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED. OWNED LESS THAT 6 MOS. BEEN IN SHOP 6 TIMES. CURRENTLY 36+ DAYS AND NO SOLUTION. WAITING ON BUY-BACK OR REPLACEMENT THOUGH NOT SURE I WANT ANOTHER ONE. VIBRATION IN THE REAR END ATTEMPTED TO FIX IT 4X. DEALER SAYS THEY CAN'T FIX IT. HAD PARTS THAT WERE NOT INSTALLED AND OTHER PROBLEMS.
Pros: The exterior and interior looks of the truck. Also, the enterior quietness of the vehicle.
Cons: The four speed automatic transmission.
Advice: Conduct an indepth comparison of the other trucks reliability and durability.Wonderful vehicle to drive. The truck rode and drove like a luxury car. The price was reasonable. There was little or no noise in the interior, while driving. The interior is nicely designed.
Pros: styling and comfort
Cons: gas but its expected with large truck like this
Advice: hands down better than competitionhad the truck for about 3month. Great truck all around!! doesn't feel like 300hp though wish it had little more emmff!! but it is a heavy truck 5800pounds!! overall im very happy with the truck!! coming from someone who used to hate fords!! made me rethink about ford!! i had gotten a awesome deal too!!
Pros: big, bold appearance
Cons: fuel mileage
Advice: the lease program is not badI have had this truck for 7 months now and i can honestly say it is one of the most refined trucks i have ever driven. My friends 2003 crew cab chevy doesnt even compare when it comes to interior or leg room. The only complaint i have about the interior is the seats could be a little more comforatable, I drive a 2005 suburban at work and i must say, chevy's got got the upperhand on that one. i was impressed with the 5.4L 3V but it sure doesnt feel like 300HP although it is a very heavy truck (5600lbs!!) with the 20,000 km's i have put on it all i can say is that the new Ford's brakes aren't the strongest. i already have had to replace the rotors and pads. All in all i must say this truck is definatly worth taking a look at.
Pros: The ride of this truck.
Cons: Passing power is poor
Advice: Buy this truck! Mine is an XLT with some extrasRide is awesome, my last truck was a Dodge Ram 1500 2x4. Actual gas mileage (14-17mpg) is better than my old truck (11-12mpg) even though my F150 is a 4x4. Beautiful truck, great ride, nice interior, great space in back seating area (Super Crew).
