Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
I have a '14 Escape SE. It has a 1.6 turbo engine. It gets 27 mpg town 32 highway. It has all the options I want. I really like the car but there is one glitch that Ford refuses to correct. A Ford Rep. even told me, "nothing is perfect, deal with it". I have written Ford, even to their president and got no response. The problem is the non dimming dash lights at night. It is suppose to be automatic but it must be manually dimmed every time the car is started at night. How silly is this?
Very Very Fast 2.0 eco boost and will get you in and out of traffic with no problems. Has panoramic roof which is awesome but the cloth cover flaps if windows open. The sony sound system is GREAT you will only get 25-26 mpg on hwy doing 75-80 mph. I am not crazy about the back lights look that is why 3.5 stars. It is like driving a sports car but a suv. Myford touch and sync no problems. Handles great. I came out of an 05 Explorer 4x4 into the Escape, much faster, but I do miss the room
