    2004 Ford Escape

    Great practical multi use vehicle

Pros: easy entry, comfortable seats, lots of storage for 'stuff', V-6 power.

Cons: I wish the mileage (17-23mpg) was a bit better.

I use my 2004 Ford Escape for daily errands, occasional journeys to southern Calfornia from San Francisco, tow and launch my small sailboat every week in SF Bay... it has been trouble free, and ordinary maintenance has been reasonable.. just passed 2010 Smog requirement with great numbers. The seats are tall an comfortable, and the car is light and agile for city driving.. all in all a useful car for a wide range of needs.

    2004 Ford Escape - XLT (400A) 4x4

    Pros: Handling

    Cons: Poor seat design

Advice: Try to take longer test drive..check for seat comfort.

I purchased this Certified Pre-Owned in July 2004. So far I love it. Looks great, is very peppy when it needs to be and handles great. Fun to drive. Doesn't have the 'bouncy' feel of a truck or other SUV. The only downside I have found is the seat. I have yet to find a comfortable position. My thigh hits the end of the seat in such a way that my circulation is cut off after driving for a while.

    2004 Ford Escape - XLT (400A) 4x4

    Pros: Roominess

    Cons: Running Boards

Advice: Buy the XLT or Limited

Great vehicle, have driven it for a month and am very pleased. Nice seats, the power driver seat is a plus, and the V6 has good power. The in dash CD player has nice sound. The driver seating position is well done. A friend of mine has a Toyota Highlander and you can hardly see over the hood.

    2004 Ford Escape - Limited (600A) 4x4

    Pros: everything

    Cons: nothing

    Advice: buy it

This SUV is awesome. Ride quality is smooth and the stereo system is great. The interior is so nice and comfortable and i love the heated seats. You have to get the Limited 4x4. It is well worth the money.
