Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: The ride of a car with the practical features of a SUV.
Cons: Gas milageThis is the first U.S. made car I've owned in 30 years. What a pleasent surprise.
Pros: The NAV/Sync system with MP3 jack.
Cons: The plastic cover attached to the 20 inch rims.Going from an SUV to this CUV is a great change. It feels sporty like a car, yet lots of room inside for comfort and ease of getting in and out with my back problems, (which is why I couldn't buy a sports car).
Cons: pricegreat new look and comfort, ford has come a long way, fast and safe
Pros: The driver's seat is very comfortable.
Cons: The back seat is a little tight if your 3 passengers are teens or adults.
Advice: It's a bigger vehicle that handles like a car. Smooth ride and comfortable seating. My parents have this vehicle. I got to drive the Edge in an emergency situation. I did not want to get back in my car. My dream car is the Lincoln Town Car, but this is a very good 'until I can afford it' car. The ride is smooth. I'm a 5'10' lady with a son who is 6'4'. We fit very comfortably in that vehicle. The only change I would make is to widen the 3 passenger back seat by a couple of inches to accommodate 3 average size adults. Perfect for 3 kids. A very good looking vechicle.
Pros: looks & handling
Advice: Drive it and you will be very impressedThis is a great vehicle overall. It is like driving in your living room. It is outstanding on the highway and city driving.
Pros: The mp3 hookup and all of the power points.
Cons: No power liftgate.
Advice: If you don't want to buy it, don't test drive it!My husband and I had been looking for a while for a new vehicle, and he convinced me to look at the Edge. I am so glad he did. It has more-than-adequate power and handles like a car. It is very comfortable. (My 6'3' husband can sit in the back with leg room, even with the front seat all the way back!) One test-drive and we were hooked.
Pros: an eye catcher! lots of room for a smaller truck. & the vista room sold me.
Cons: not enough room for all i dislike! has many prob. for a new car.
Advice: take ur time.. like crossovers? the GMC acadia is the best choice.. wish i would have!I have had my Edge now for a month and a half.. The look of it is HOT! and coming from a gas guzzler of an SUv it is alot better w/ gas (not great) The room in a smaller truck is great also, but and its a big but!!!!! I am ready to walk away from it ASAP!!! I was told by people not to by a car its first year out, well haha to them it bought it anyway. :-( ( nothing but PROBLEMS) Not only does the engine whine when you step on it, doors are tinny no running boards, horrible blind spots, no trunk release and not to meantion i had to replace the navigation system 2 weeks after i bought it, now after 2 trips to the dealership for leaking oil the oil gasket needs to be replaced. If this is the start of this car after 1 1/2 months. im afraid what the next 3 years will hold. Buy with caution!!! The Acadia was my choice, but vista roof sold me.. Shame on me!!!
