2002 Ford Crown Victoria - LX Sport (230A)

Pros: 17inch rims really set the car off or the center console

Cons: I wish it had more power

    Advice: Get the sport package

I love my 2002 Crown Vic Sport. It has power, comfort and people get out of my way on the interstate. I can fit 4 golf bags and 4 overnite bags in the trunk with room to spare. I do alot of driving and this car eats up the highway.

    2002 Ford Crown Victoria - LX (200A)

    Pros: Ride and handling

Cons: I wish I had ordered it with the silver metallic exterior finish rather than the black, which is hard to keep looking nice here in rural Nebraska.

Advice: If you love to drive, this car will not disappoint you. You will not regret purchasing one.

I took delivery of the car, a black LX Sport (the 'Blackhawk') with the handling package, on February 26 and proceeded to drive halfway across the country in two days under a variety of conditions, including a nighttime blizzard in Iowa. The car handled flawlessly at all times, and I really bonded with it during that trip. We went through some tough situations together and came out on top every time. Now with 4000+ miles on the odometer I am still delighted every time I take the wheel. Tailgaters seem to be wary of the car, which is a plus in my book. Also every State Trooper I encounter has a friendly wave for me, which never happened with any of my previous cars.

    2002 Ford Crown Victoria - LX (200A)

    Pros: Roomy leather interior

Cons: Noisy tires - but it is expected on a sport model

Advice: Don't hesitate - it is an escellent value for the money

This is a smooth, luxurious feeling car that I love to drive. It is roomy and has a cavernous trunk. I bought the sport model with 17' wheels, center console, etc. and I love the car.

    2002 Ford Crown Victoria - LX (200A)

    Pros: Ride

    Cons: Brakes squeak

Advice: Upgrade to the automatic climate control

I have the electronic guage package on a 1999 Cron Vic 'Limited addition', and believe it or not, I am getting 26.7 MPG average fuel economy. This is a great vehicle and I plan to get another one next year! How about a center console on the new crown vics. Marquis has one. Doug Erley Richmond, VA

    2002 Ford Crown Victoria - LX (200A)

    Pros: Rear-wheel drive

    Cons: gas mileage

Advice: Buy the Sport -- handling vastly better than std or LX

This model is the LX Sport with increased power and upgraded wheels, tires and suspension. Surprisingly good on back roads (though not a TR-3) and plenty of passing power on the Interstate. Smooth, quiet and extremely well outfitted interior. Very comfortable. Mileage is what you would expect of a 2-ton V8 -- about 19 mpg.

    2002 Ford Crown Victoria - LX (200A)

    Pros: Seat comfort/ride quality

    Cons: Interior storage space/traction

Advice: Get the center console and white wall tires to spiff it up.

Next to a Lincoln Town Car, the most comfortable car I've ever owned for less than 1/2 the price. The seats are outstanding and more comfortable than my livingroom chair. Gas mileage is great for a boat this size i.e. 20mpg in city and up to 24 on the highway. Although I have the traction control and ABS brakes, traction is fair to poor on wet or snow covered roads. Interior storage space is a weak point and I would opt for the center console option next time around. This car is 60s technology with 21st century comfort. Big, roomy, easy to drive. Looks like a squad car so I'll opt for Mercury next time around.
