2013 Ford C-MAX Energi Earns Golden State Rebate
Electrified Utility Vehicle Also Qualifies for Car-pool Lanes
There’s been so much news lately about the 2013 Ford C-Max Energi, it can be easy to forget that the electrified version of the C-MAX Hybrid isn’t even on sale yet. It’s due in select EV-certified Ford dealerships later this year, then expected to roll out through the rest of the country during the early part of 2013. And when it does, it’s going to boast a bevy of new industry benchmarks, including the longest overall driving range of any compact utility—or any compact, or any utility. The 2013 Ford C-MAX Energi also will be America’s most efficient plug-in hybrid, and it qualifies for some important new incentives in California, too.
The latest party line from John Davis, chief engineer for the vehicle: “C-MAX Energi is America’s most efficient utility vehicle, a great symbol of how Ford gives customers the power to choose leading fuel-efficiency across our lineup with gas prices spiraling upwards of $5 a gallon in some parts of the country. The C-MAX Energi’s leading range also means customers can spend more time on the road and more money on their priorities instead of at the gas pump.”
