Nationwide sales of the lovable all-new 2012 Fiat 500 have been ramping up since the car went on sale in May, and to ensure plenty of consumers are lining up to get behind the driver’s seat, Fiat is launching some pretty aggressive leasing and financing deals. The new 500 will be available with lease rates starting at $199 and financing rates as low as 1.9 percent – both are for qualified buyers/lessees of course, and the lease is for a 39-month term with $1,999 due at signing.

2012 Fiat 500: Pop

The base 500 model is the Pop trim level which has a starting MSRP of $15,500. With the five-speed manual transmission, Fiat 500 Pop is available with the low $199 per month lease rate, while the six-speed automatic will add $20 per month to these lease payments. The 2012 Fiat 500 Pop comes standard with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Blue&Me® hands-free connectivity, 15-inch steel wheels, seven airbags, cruise control and a six-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system.

2012 Fiat 500: Sport

Stepping up to the Fiat 500 Sport, the base price is $17,500, and the leasing incentive is $239 per month with the manual gearbox. With the automatic transmission, the 500 Sport is available at $259 per month. This trim level adds sport bucket seats, Bose Energy Efficiency Series audio system, body-color door mirrors, liftgate spoiler, fog lights, 16-inch polished cast aluminum wheels. and a sportier suspension, steering and exhaust tuning.

2012 Fiat 500: Lounge

Finally, the top Fiat 500 Lounge models are offered with a surprisingly affordable lease rate of $279 per month. All Lounge models come with the automatic transmission, and it also adds luxurious features such as a fixed-glass roof, chrome exterior body trim, automatic temperature control, Sirius Satellite Radio, premium cloth bucket seats, leather-wrapped shift lever and 15-inch, nine-spoke cast aluminum wheels.

2012 Fiat 500: Financing

As for the financing rates, qualified customers can choose from attractive terms such as 1.9 percent for 36 months, 2.9 percent for 48 months, 3.9 percent for 60 months or 5.9 percent for 72 months. While many will criticize these incentives being harmful to the brand, this is a great way for Fiat to get more consumers into the show room as production, advertising and sales of these unique hatchbacks continues to improve. According to Automotive News, 93 of the planned 130 dealerships – or rather “studios” in Fiat speak – are open for business.

Unfortunately, these financing and lease offers do not apply to the drop-top 500C model which has a base MSRP of $19,500 for the 500C Pop and $23,500 for the 500C Lounge.
