1982 Ferrari 308 GTSi Is Up For Raffle
Being Raffled Off By The International Motor Racing Research Center
The International Motor Racing Research Center, a place where the history of amateur and professional motor racing is documented, has announced their 2013 raffle car. The vehicle is a 1982 Ferrari 308 GTSi with less than 1,500 miles on it. The 308 is one of the most well known Ferraris due to its starring role as Tom Selleck's vehicle in Magnum PI. This 308 GTSi comes with a 2.9L V8 engine, five-speed manual transmission, and a tan interior.
“It’s a real eye-catcher, drawing a lot of attention whether it’s parked on the front lawn of the Center in Watkins Glen or next to one of our display tables at a race at Watkins Glen International.” said Center President J.C. Argetsinger. “The Racing Research Center is dependent on the funding we receive from our supporters through the annual raffle of a significant car. We receive no public funding, so we’re grateful to those interested in buying a chance on our cars.”
Want a chance to own a Ferrari? The International Motor Racing Research Center is offering 2,308 raffle tickets with prices starting at $60 for one ticket and $100 for two. Tickets can be purchased at the center, by calling (607) 535-9044, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
