Two Special Models Debut for Resurgent 2015 Dodge Viper

After bringing the Viper back to its roots with a massive $15K price cut and a no-frills, performance-first entry model, the 2015 Dodge Viper team is offering a pair of freshly minted special editions designed for drivers who actually prefer that some of those frills remain intact.

For example, the 2015 Dodge Viper GTS--technically positioned as a "2015.5" model—becomes the lux flagship of the Viper line by featuring a leather cabin with Laguna leather seating and Nappa leather instrument-panel, console and door trim, as well as an Alcantra headliner and Harman Kardon 18-speaker audio setup. The 2015 Dodge Viper GTS then sits on polished aluminum "Venom" wheels and shows off exclusive "GTS" badging. To raise ye olde bar yet further, owners also can add a Ceramic Blue Special Edition package with the expected Ceramic Blue exterior finish set off by black stripes, gloss-black "GTS" badges, a carbon-fiber applique at the rear and visible orange brake calipers.

The other new model for the 2015 Dodge Viper line is the TA 2.0 Special Edition. Ready for the track right out of the box, the TA 2.0 improves snake handling with a full aero body kit, Brembo stoppers (boasting two-piece rotors), Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, a dual-mode suspension complemented by five-mode electronic stability control, and carbon-fiber bracing.

Of course, the standard 2015 Dodge Viper remains a dangerous predator on its own, packing an 8.4-liter V10 engine that serves up 645 hp and 640 lb.-ft. of torque, and complementing that brute power with standard premium cues likes the Uconnect Touch multi-media system, Harman Kardon audio, a rearview camera and power-adjustable pedals.
