    2005 Dodge SRT4 - Base

    Pros: Engine

    Cons: No cruise control

    Advice: Check insurance rate first

For the money, there is no car that gives this level of bang for the buck. I considered the Ford SVT Focus, the Honda Civic SI, and the Acura RSX-S and none of them could compare as far as a total package for the money. I test drove all before I purchased the SRT4. The engine is great, the handling superb, and the looks and feel of the car outstanding. Dodge finally got another one right.

    2005 Dodge SRT4 - Base

    Pros: Turbo

    Cons: No Mufler

    Advice: You will Love it...

I'm 27 been through the times of the RX-7, 280Z, 944T, Supra, Corado VR6, Mustang GT, 325, MR2 etc. While some of these cars can beat the performance of SRT-4, yet for the price point it is unbeatable. I was considering either an Evo/WRX/ or SRT-4 (actually SRT-4 was not even on my list, “I fell in love with it after a test drive”) I finally decided to take the SRT-4 two days ago and I am loving it. Saving myself over 10k and only sacrifice 4 wheal drive, marginal speed difference and handling. I'm happy. Let's face it, if you are not into 'luxury' you cant find a car for (23+ out the door) that has so much power/torque & extras. Don’t try to race with… (M3, RS-6, Viper, S4, CTS-V, Z06, SVT, AMG, Ram SRT-10, Lightning), 'They will SMOKE you.”

    2005 Dodge SRT4 - Base

    Pros: Sound, Color, Turbo

    Cons: No Cruise Control

    Advice: You Will Love It

This car is great, very happy with my choice. Looked at other products in the price range but for someone small like me the racing seats keep me centered while driving and the response from the turbo is unbeatable. Always turns heads.

    2004 Dodge SRT4 - Base

    Pros: Looks, Performance, Price

Cons: The base car is a Neon

Advice: Beware of upgrades that void warrenty!

Car looks great, handles great, and looks cool. Waited for employee discounts to be applied to this vehicle in April 2005. At same time found a 2004 in 2005 and got another $1000 off. Told the dealer I wanted a different color so he took another $500 off to take a black one (I wanted a black one, really). Sunroof and side air bags, with dealer added mud flaps for $19900, INCLUDING TAXES AND PLATES. Very happy with cars performance so far. Beware of upgrades, even MOPAR parts. MOPAR Performance parts have NO warrenty, not even 12 months. Why would you want to mess up a 7 year warrenty? Livin loud sound system adds 30 lbs, bad for performance.

    2005 Dodge SRT4 - Base

    Pros: power, exhaust, seat

    Cons: big rear spoiler

Advice: forget about comfort and luxury. This is a pure racing machine at low cost

What can I say. I'm a middle aged enthusiast who had been through the eras of Duster, 280Z, Supra, 3000GT, Evolution (outside of U.S.). While some of these cars can beat the performance of SRT-4; none of them can beat it if price is taken into consideration. I was considering either a Evo or a SRT-4 and I finally decided to take the SRT-4 two weeks ago and I don't regret it. Saving myself over 10k and sacriface 4 wheel drive, marginal speed difference and marginal handling. I'm happy. Let's face it, if you are not into 'luxury' stuff, there are no cars out there below 30k that has more fun and power than SRT-4; not to mention under 22k (Actual $$ for SRT-4 is more like 21k). On the other hand, don't try to race with M3, Evo or STI. They are of a different league.

    2005 Dodge SRT4 - Base

Pros: exhaust sound / power band starts at 2200 rpm / almost no turbo lag

Cons: have to use high test gasoline

Advice: this is not a car to buy for an unexpierenced teenage driver/ 230hp 155mph = death

after months of research and many test drives this is the car i fell in love with! for the money you cant beat it the looks are ok depending on buyer but performance for this car is unreal the power band kicks in at a low 2200 rpms and has almost no turbo lag. I have a $27,000 subaru wrx other than handling and traction via all wheel drive my SRT will destroy my wrx, also depending on the drivers skill a bone stock SRT will hang door to door or even beat a stock $32,000 wrx sti and a $30-37,000 evo i know this for a fact so if you dont care about all wheel drive why waste $10,000!!!
