Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: More power than ever and a real convertible top
Cons: Outrageous comic-book-hero styling is toned down
Advice: Black might look like the Batmobile but silver is easiest to keep clean.More fun than ever before. The boy-racer styling that many of us loved about 1991-2002 snakes now yields to euro-looks that can compete with any exotic. Most everything about the car has been improved. Ergonomics. Seats. Brakes. Aerodynamics. Power. And now a top that you can remove and not fear the unexpected thunderstorm!
Pros: EVERYTHING LOOKS GREAT!!!
Cons: size of the back seat--small space
Advice: Go with a 5 speed R/TI actually do not own a Stratus R/T...? I have a 2002 Honda Civic lx-coupe, that I love! It will go froever-and-ever! BUT... I'm not to fond with the looks of it! I paid $15,800 for that car, and recieved wheel covers, no fog lights, no sunroof, no cd player, no spoiler. It has power windows-locks-mirrors,cruise,etc.! but the exterior features suck for the price. I love the looks of the Stratus R/T's! They are sharp! And you can buy a used 2001-2002 Stratus R/T LOADED with options for what I paid for my Civic. So if anyone out there reads this and has a civic or Stratus R/T...please e-mail me w/ advice!
Pros: Performance is outstanding, both horsepower and handling.
Cons: High rear deck is sporty and stylish, but visibilty is poor.
Advice: Factory package has all you need.Dodge has a winner in the 2002 R/T coupe. This is not your stodgy Dodge from the last decade or two.The 200HP Mitsubishi engine has plenty of punch. The auto stick selector is a must with the auto trans, if you enjoy shift control from the light. The R/T is a smart, e well engineered ride for the rather modest cost. The 7 speaker cd system is outstanding. Rear visibility when backing is limited due to a high profile rear deck. The Japanese influence in the design of the electronics is quite evident. Daimler-Chrysler is on the right path.
Pros: the overall look of the car
Cons: the size of the rims
Advice: watch out for rip-offsawesome drive. coftorble . fast and furious
Pros: body style
Cons: 4 cylinder engine
Advice: This vehicle would be great w/ the V6 engine. Definetely upgrade to the V6Its small four cylinder engine is much to small for this midsize sedan. Everything else about the car is very adequate. It is quite comfortable, and is fun to drive despite the inferior engine. When one tries to accelerate whilst going up a hill, good luck and better luck next time. However it accelerates well while on a flat road
Pros: I love the sporty look!
Cons: Not many colors to choose from in the R/T
Advice: Buy the R/T - it's the top of the lineLove everything about this car - a lot of car for a reasonable price. The R/T comes with a ton of standard features that are considered optional on most other comparable vehicles.
Pros: Sleek / Fast Looks
Cons: No Factory Spoiler Available / Needs a V-8
Advice: The R/T is priced rightI purchased a Silver Stratus R/T Coupe with 5 speed manual . First look is the great sleek looks . Dealers have very few in stock so colors and options are what ever there is on the lot (1 to choose from) . Car would be even better with a NASCAR style rear spoiler. Car is quick and quiet . Would love to see the Jeep 3.7 V6 or a small V-8 engine . Gas mieage is very good .
