2012 Dodge Journey: Video Road Test and Review
The Dodge Journey is a four door seven passenger midsize crossover utility vehicle that offers the versatility of minivan in a much more compact package, available for under $20,000 making it the most affordable seven passenger vehicle in America.
The entry level Dodge Journey AVP is powered by a 2.4 Liter four cylinder engine making 173 HP and gets an estimated 19 MPG in the city and up to 26 MPG on the highway. The base Journey also comes with the Uconnect Touch Media Center with 4.3 inch display, six standard airbags and available seven passenger seating starting at $18,995. The Journey SE gets a set of stylish LED taillights as well as sliding roof rails and available aluminum wheels for $20,995.
The Journey SXT is the first to come with 3.6 Liter Pentastar V6 power, producing 283 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque, and is good for an estimated 17 MPG around town and as much as 25 MPG on the highway. The $24,495 SXT rides on a set of 17 inch aluminum wheels and gets an aggressive front fascia as well as dual exhaust and available all wheel drive.
The Dodge Journey Crew starts at $28,995 and gets upgraded with a set of 19 inch aluminum wheels, and 8.4 inch Uconnect touch screen that controls the premium audio system as well as available leather and AWD. The top of the line Journey R/T gets a six speed Autostick, color matching grill, unique 19 inch satin carbon aluminum wheels and leather upholstery with red accent stitching as well as available AWD starting at $29,995.
