The Chrysler Group’s performance team has spawned a new Hellcat: the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, which now becomes the quickest, fastest and more powerful production sedan on the planet. Tackling those terms in reverse order, the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat will:

  • Unleash 707 hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque from the same supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 that debuted in the Challenger Hellcat
  • Achieve a top speed of 204 mph
  • Run the quarter mile in 11 seconds—as certified by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA)—and make the 0-100-0 run in fewer than 13 (while wearing street tires)

But as was the case with the Challenger edition, the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat offers more than a massive engine upgrade. It also provides the kind of hi-po components necessary to transform that brute power into true all-around performance. For example, the Charger Hellcat sports the biggest stoppers ever offered by a Chrysler Group product, and that setup, with two-piece, 15.4-inch rotors and six-piston calipers, is supplied by the internationally renowned Brembo brake experts. (And to be clear, it’s the same braking package offered on the Challenger version, but retuned specifically for the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat.)

With the car further acting as a range-topper to the Charger portfolio, the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat also leaves the flightdeck with standard and available features like:

  • Drive Modes technology so Hellcat pilots can tailor vehicle performance for different driving scenarios, with Sport, Track, Default and Eco settings, along with a Custom mode for driver-personalized performance
  • Two separate key fobs, one for full performance and one that restrains the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat with Valet Mode functionality
  • All Chrysler Group Uconnect technology, leveraging an 8.4-in. touchscreen and mobile wi-fi capability
  • Unique style cues, including exclusive front and rear fascias, a model-specific aluminum hood with functional cold-air intake, dual air extractors, an integrated front splitter, 20-inch forged aluminum wheels and a single-piece deck spoiler
  • A premium cabin highlighted by a heated, flat-bottomed, thick-rimmed, multi-function SRT steering wheel, a “T-handle” electric shifter and an 18-speaker, 900-watt Harmon Kardon sound system

The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is expected to go on sale early next year at a price that is still TBD at this time.
