2014 Dodge Challenger Debuts Super Sport Packages

The muscle-car with the fastest-growing sales rate in the segment should be moving even faster for the new model year, as the 305-hp 2014 Dodge Challenger V6 will be offered with two fresh upgrade packages that combine enhanced performance and more aggressive style. Designed to provide a complement to the 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T that is the most affordable V8 muscle car in the country, the Super Sport packages will be available for the starting point to the 2014 Dodge Challenger roster, the Challenger SXT, and include:

• Wheel-and-tire upgades that wrap P245/45R20 all-season performance tires around 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels
• A more athletic 3.07 rear-axle ratio
• Revised transmission functionality, courtesy of a five-speed "Auto Stick" automatic transmission with die-cast paddle shifters
• Performance-tuned steering, brakes and suspension systems
• A body-color rear spoiler

In addition, the 2014 Dodge Challenger Super Sport can be further accessorized with the brand's "Sinister" blackout style treatment.

It's also worth noting that, even without the Super Sport packages, the Challenger SXT provides two other content improvements for 2014: a power sunroof and the Chrysler Group's Uconnect 430 media/connectivity system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen.
