Lives up to the Brand Reputation
Pros: extreme reliability
Cons: perfection can be a little boringAll expectations met, after 6 years of ownership.
Great vehicle except for the seats
Pros: Good gas mileage and quiet and comfortable ride.
Cons: The seats are to deeply contoured and 'ergonomic'.Have the 2.4 four cylinder. Gets about 21 mpg around town. We've never gotten more than about 28 on the highway. Very comfortable and quiet cruiser for around Dallas. The 4 has plenty of power. Only notice its not a 6 when we merge onto the highway, but it still gets you there quickly enough. The seats are a personal preference thing. They are very contoured and 'ergonomic'. I have to really fiddle with them to get a comfortable position, but my wife loves them. Overall, the perfect little vehicle for some utility and cruising around town or anywhere for that matter.
One of the best I have had
Pros: Ambient lighting
Cons: The overall stylingWe have had our 2010 Terrain since March and are very pleased with it overall performance. The interior is very comfortable and stylist. It fells like you are in a very more luxury vehicle. We love the ambient lighting with make the interior a warm glow. The computer menu lists every feature we want and again, feels like a more costly vehicle. A very nice package.
The worst dision I have ever made!
Pros: the stereo
Cons: The rest of it, its a piece of junk! When I bought this car Toyota never told me these Scion's consume oil on a regular basis! This is not a joke my '08' Scion XB with 46K miles now & uses 3 out of 4 quarts of oil in 5000 miles. Both Toyota & Scion have made many excuses like 'this car is made for metropoliton use only'. We use this for our business and we travel about 200 miles a day, so for $24K you can't drive that new car around. Today I noticed that the car is using antifreeze, because there is a leak, possible water pump, but can't confirm. The dealer has been a major problem for us, our car was in for service, & got hit in there parking lot, they refuse to give me there Insurance info, and never called my insurance comp. back! So we have $1000 worth of damages & no one cares! We only get 23 mpg very low for a four cylinder, once again they (dealer & Corprate) blames all the extra weight, which doesn't exceed there cabin weight! Also the brakes suck, there very squishy, feels like theres air in the lines! I asked the dealer to do a 'power bleed', and they said it doesn't need it! I am a mechanic by trade now for 20+ yrs & Toyota need to re-evailuate the word efficient, any car these days shouldn't be using any oil at all! Last, when you have your oil changed, ask them to measure the oil that comes out of the engine. If you have a 4 cylinder normaly that would take 4 quarts. 4 go in 4 should come out any less means your car has issues. Save your self DON'T BUY A TOYOTA!
Pros: quiet ride
Cons: gas milageexcellent cuv thats has room, comfort, towing flats boat or four golf clubs.
I love my Venza
Pros: Abundant storage.
Cons: Brigestone TiresBy far the best car for the money I've ever owned.
Happy with Traverse
Cons: not getting stated MPGI recently purchased a 2009 Chevy Traverse and love the roominess. My husband who was not with me when I purchased it said he thought the car was deceiving because from the outside it did not look big, however when he got in it he was amazed at the room. It is a very comfortable ride. The only down side is I don't think I'm getting the MPG that is stated on sticker(17 city/24 Hwy). I drive mostly highway and I'm only getting about 18 mpg today. I'm not heavy footed and normally use cruise control. Hope to see it improve over time.
