    2002 Honda Accord - 2.3 LX (M5) Sedan

Pros: All the power accessories standard on the LX model

    Cons: Nothing comes to mind

Advice: Wait for special deals (we saved $3,000 off sticker)

The wife needed a new car since the old one she had been driving finally died. I was ready to buy the car without test driving since we had owned Honda cars before. The salesman insisted that I drive it (remember the car was for the wife). I was pleasantly surprised at the responsiveness of the engine even with the automatic transmission. We were so pleased with the dealership that we returned two weeks later to buy a used Honda for our twenty year old college student.

    2002 Honda Civic - EX (M5) Sedan

Pros: Price with ABS & Moonroof taken into consideration

Cons: Parts broken so easily. Need to buy Honda specific coolant & engine oil supplies.

    Advice: Okay everyday car.

Handling and brakes are good. Got used to the ventilation controls. Radio reception not good. The lights are bright enough for night driving. The button on the seat belt broke off and the H logo infront was broken by an errant shopping cart.

    2002 Kia Rio - (M5) Wagon

    Pros: Comfort, price and drivability.

Cons: The gas mileage could be a little better for a small 4 cylinder engine.

Advice: Have the dealer install after market cruise as a condition of purchasing the vehicle like I did!!!!

I REALLY LOVE my Rio Cinco. It is very INEXPENSIVE yet the quality does NOT suffer one bit. I bought my Cinco for $12,000 (cruise too!!) and it is FULLY loaded!! No other car w/similar options could even come close to that!! The 5 door Cinco is very easy to drive and cart things around in. It is very quiet & has extremely COMFORTABLE seats along with an adjustable lumbar support. I am 6' 2' tall and have more head room in my Cinco than in my girlfriend's Lexus RX300 SUV!! This is a WONDERFUL car. :)

    2002 Nissan Altima - 3.5 SE (M5)

    Pros: Powerful V6

    Cons: Floor carpeting

Advice: Consider this car before deciding on the competition

We have owned Camry V6's in the past. The Altima V6 is just a better engine. Overall the car has performed beatifully. The price is hard to negotiate but worth it in the end. Unsure of the long term but from what I've seen so far, a solid car that turns heads.

    2002 Nissan Sentra - GXE (M5)

    Pros: features

Cons: 2x to the dealer for minor issues

    Advice: A serious contender

The Sentra really is an excellent car. I got a sporty looking car with an engine cheap and sturdy that's fun as hell to drive the materials are great. and I find that they stand out amongst the sea of civics out there

    2002 Nissan Altima - 3.5 SE (M5)

    Pros: Then V6 engine.

    Cons: No power seat memory.

Advice: Shop several dealers against each other.

Great looks, great engine & transmission. Some interior features on the cheap side, but none of the important features. Lots of storage space, great drink holders. A great family car for the young (and still alive) family.

    2003 Toyota Matrix - XRS (M6) FWD

    Pros: The celica engine (VVTL-i)

Cons: The large blind spot. (can be alleviated with larger rear inside mirror)

Advice: Definantly go with the XRS. It is well worth it.

The manual 6 speed was excellent and the handling was great... Remember the XRS borrow its engine from the sporty car Celica. The cargo space is awesome and the price is awesome. Remember, toyota is only making 75,000 of these this year. Better get your hand on one or else just wait till next year. The elec outlet is totally unprecedent and I love it with my laptop. I didn't go for the navigation cuz I can just use my laptop as a navigation system. HEHEHE! Definantly go test drive and see this car at the dealer even if you are not looking into buying this car.
