Cons: Problems already
Advice: Wait a year till they work the bugs out.I bought the car 3 weeks ago and I already have problems. The check engine light and the headlight low beam indicator light both came on. I have to get a new 'oxygen sensor' from the manufacturer, whatever that is. I'm very dissapointed. I thought Toyota's where supposed to be reliable, expecially a NEW one! Has anyone else had problems w/ it already?
Pros: It's amazing new styling
Advice: Drive and compare the 2.5L and 3.5LI was thrilled when I first encountered the new Altima! I had been considering more expensive options and was amazed to find out that I could get a gorgeous car with all of the options I was looking for. I first drove the 2.5 but was sold when I took the 3.5 for a spin. I love driving this car! Nissan should have renamed this car because it is worlds away from last years model. Bravo, Nissan!
Pros: Xenon headlights
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Advice: This is a great car. If you like cars that are sporty, have killer styling, and the economy of a V6; this is the car you want.I'm a father of 2, so I needed a car with room, practicality, and good looks. At first, I was going to buy a Honda Accord, then Nissan exploded with the 240bhp Altima for 2k2. I was blown away by the styling so I just had to have one. I got this killer deal from Star Nissan in NYC, so I test drove it and bought it the next day. So far, after 2 months, it has surpassed my expectations about an import. It's so fast, people have asked me if it's a turbo or on Nitrous. I just tell them no, it's brute force from Nissan.
Pros: The engine
Cons: The taillights, but they have grown on me.
Advice: I love this car!I love this car. Don't bother with the V6, the 2.5 is plenty powerful and with the V6 you need atleast 91 octane gas. Passing in this car is so fun! Excellent on gas. Also roomy and comfortable. Beware-it is very expensive to fix, I was in an accident at 3000 miles:(, nearly 6000$ to fix what should have been about 3800$. I rented a Malibu while it was in the shop and couldn't get over the difference. I missed my Altima!
Pros: All the power accessories standard on the LX model
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Advice: Wait for special deals (we saved $3,000 off sticker)The wife needed a new car since the old one she had been driving finally died. I was ready to buy the car without test driving since we had owned Honda cars before. The salesman insisted that I drive it (remember the car was for the wife). I was pleasantly surprised at the responsiveness of the engine even with the automatic transmission. We were so pleased with the dealership that we returned two weeks later to buy a used Honda for our twenty year old college student.
Pros: Price with ABS & Moonroof taken into consideration
Cons: Parts broken so easily. Need to buy Honda specific coolant & engine oil supplies.
Advice: Okay everyday car.Handling and brakes are good. Got used to the ventilation controls. Radio reception not good. The lights are bright enough for night driving. The button on the seat belt broke off and the H logo infront was broken by an errant shopping cart.
Pros: Comfort, price and drivability.
Cons: The gas mileage could be a little better for a small 4 cylinder engine.
Advice: Have the dealer install after market cruise as a condition of purchasing the vehicle like I did!!!!I REALLY LOVE my Rio Cinco. It is very INEXPENSIVE yet the quality does NOT suffer one bit. I bought my Cinco for $12,000 (cruise too!!) and it is FULLY loaded!! No other car w/similar options could even come close to that!! The 5 door Cinco is very easy to drive and cart things around in. It is very quiet & has extremely COMFORTABLE seats along with an adjustable lumbar support. I am 6' 2' tall and have more head room in my Cinco than in my girlfriend's Lexus RX300 SUV!! This is a WONDERFUL car. :)
