THE HOTTEST THING HOWEVER I THOUGHT WAS THE INSTRUMENTATION THE DEEP RED BACKLIT GAUGES WHERE JUST GORGEOUS. THE ROOMINESS IN THE REAR WAS JUST AMAZING. I THOUGHT THIS VEHICLE OVERALL IS A HUGE HIT!

    2002 Toyota Corolla - LE (M5)

Pros: The stereo and the dashboard (feel like an expensive car)

Cons: Alloy wheels and cruise control are options.

Advice: Test drive all the cars in this class and make your own judgement. I ended up with Civic anyway.

2003 Corolla isn't any bigger than the previous model. Of course, it appears to be bigger than the previous generation, but the interior is still somewhat the same size. Why it looks bigger? Because there is lots of gaps inside the hood. There is not much leg room (Civic has more leg room which is really comfortable) in the front but the back is fine. No map/magazine holders. The switch for the interior lamp moved to the dashboard (driver's side). It's good forthe driver, but it can be pain in the butt if you're the passenger who eventually have to ask the driver to turn on the light for you. Backseat is somewhat tight but Civic's backseat is more comfortable (I tested drive Civic and Corolla on the same day) The engine makes a louder noise than Civic. The suspension in both cars is reallt nice; smooth and quiet. I tested Hyundai as well, but I dismissed it because the dealer is too far away; even though it's a really great car. Well, I don't know what else to tell ya, so I guess that's it. :-)

2002 Volkswagen New Beetle - GLS TDI (M5)

Pros: power of the TDI, power sunroof, and most of all, heated seats in winter!

Cons: Have an 18 month old daughter, hard to use car seat in back, also the cup holders. The only oops in the car! Flower vase is plain, you can buy good looking aftermarket ones on the web.

Advice: This is the perfect car for someone single or couple. Great roadtrip car. Test drive and you WILL be sold! I promise.

I was first hesitant about size of vehicle cause I am a big guy. My test drive threw that out the window. Very comfortable, plenty of headroom for driver and passenger.Blown away with the power this car has. You will not be stuck behind semi's on hills with this gem!Gas milage is a bonus treat! 45 mpg on my automatic!

    2002 Kia Rio - (M5) Sedan

    Pros: appearance

    Cons: the ride

Advice: It is only good for a 'first' new car. Never down grade to this.

When I first Tested the car out before buying it, it drove nicely. I really liked the car and the way it 'scooted' around. It seemed like it was going to be a great car. Then after about 500 miles, the car started to drive poorly. It skips all over the road and the car vibrates when the brakes are applyed. It feels like I'm riding in a go-cart.
